It's pretty wild that voice chat can actually be used for something other than yelling at your teammates and calling them trash, breathing heavily and eating popcorn with your mouth open, blasting shitty blown out sounding music, or having a conversation with someone who's in a different room while a baby approaches 130 decibels in the background.

I gave up on comming with people because of this (and similar) interactions: "Soldier low" 30 seconds later "Are you stupid? Their Soldier is full hp" I would like to comm and try be a team player, but I am 36 years old. 10 years ago I might have had the patience to deal with people in voice comms, but I don't anymore.

I mean honestly a mix of the questionable ban policy and people just being straight up rude in VC is why most people just use text chat

I'm on console too and D3 on support and the biggest problem I see, is the aim smoothing. It looks like 99-100% what the most people have set on dualzone. I would try Linear and if it feels too sensitive you can higher aim ease in from 10-30%. What this does is adding a curve and make it exponential (what the most games use as default) BUT don't use the "Exponential" setting from the 3 you have because its just a clunky version of dualzone. What I play myself and recommend trying is: 50%-60% Horiz/Vertic Aim assist strength: 100% Window size: 25% Legacy mode: On Aim assist ease in: 0% Aim smoothing: 0% Aim ease in: 0%-30% Deadzone 4%-5%

The point about Ana vs Bap is so true. Ana is my all time most played hero/best hero but I only have a 50% win rate this season on her in masters compared to Bap where I have a 65% win rate within the same amount of hours. He just provides so much sustainably to you and your team on top of solid dmg. He’s just in a much better state than Ana rn

I've watched replays of myself where I'm like "Well if I didn't suck so much I would've done a lot better there." But there's been so many where I'm watching someone else and I'm wondering if they have headphones, noticing they move really slow and don't seem to react to things at the edges of the screen (maybe they have default pov?) and then I switch to my screen and it's like I'm playing a totally different game. I've watched stuff like Cass ulting behind my team and in the replay there's four heads that remain looking in the opposite direction and you can see me whip around and fire like 4 shots at him right before he kills all of us.

They fucked up the matchmaking system bad.

Don't know how it is on pc but on console i had to leave voice chat, not just not talk i had to turn voice chat off. Because the times i received toxicity or racism vs team communication was 50/50 in ow1 but in ow2 it became 80/20. At that point it affects not only your gameplay but your mental health so i had to turn it off.😅

I had an Ana legit complain I couldn’t do anything with nano. It was a 1v4 and the Ana died giving me the nano. Then said tank diff cause I couldn’t get a nano kill against Bastion Mauga Zen and mercy. Who am I killing 😂

The communication and ping options have really allowed people to just stay off voice comms. "Widow top left" has been replaced with *ping* "enemy here" and so forth. But there's no "hey shitter, try turning on your monitor" button so all that noise gets funnelled to vc! Fun!

I know you can't stand still in OW but something about seeing Mercy's silhouette bunny hopping around is so funny to me lol

I love the comment “how’s someone “x” when i’m “x”” because usually i’m like how is this person bronze when i feel like sometimes i play like this as gold :’)

Personally i dont voice chat since i have a mild stuttering problem and in plat gold the comms are rarely worth it, its usually just an excusr to dump on you.

Mercy main from gm 5 to gold 1/plat 4/5 i refuse to give up on the character it has to get buffed or reworked soon

Bap having more consistent healing-damage balance + utility is why I don’t think his kit is good game design. I still love Overwatch though

I love comments like "uh how am I x rank when this is Y rank". Looking at higher ranks it's very easy to compare yourself and think it looks similar... because everyone is playing against their own rank. If you out a diamond player against a silver, they'll smoke the silver. Simple as. Same thing if you put a GM against a diamond. Looking down on gameplay is a lot more enlightening. There are so many small differences that are hard to spot looking up, but very easy to spot looking down.

It's nice that Emongg tries to be nice in these vod reviews but I thihk he also needs to manage expectations. This player doesn't play like a T500. I'd even say they're playing a little lower than diamond skill level if not low diamond. They didn't say which rank they were in when they got T500. Chances are they got T500 when the ranks reset and everyone was back to plat-diamond levels in T500 Not trying to be a negative nancy but I think it's also important not to get the hopes of players up like this as in a few months time they'll just get frustrate and possibly quit when they haven't made significant improvements

I have vc and chat in general off, so I don't get tilted by other' tilt. Still in bronze so even in rank it might not be important. Well, except for cases like Ana nano and such
