Welcome back! We've missed you! Now it's only been a week, but we've been excited to be back in action here in the shop and today's build is something special. Tay was tasked with a commemorative table build to honor his late uncle and was told to add a "personal touch". The first thing that came to mind was a special design that his relatives hold dear of a tree.
Now he's only got 2 1/2 days to fully build this special table, will he be able to pull it off and make this piece special? Follow along in this return episode of Lift Arc Builds!
Thanks for watching!

Nice build. I like rigidity of structure and would have welded in 1 x 1 x 1/8 angle under the bottom shelf section front & back, making a box section of the shelf (as you have pointed out). Another voice in the crowd...

Like I said previously, your channel subscribership will explode. Your creativity and character shine through as honest and genuine. It's interesting that you your Dad have the same smile. Beautiful table, very nice work. Thanks for another great video, I am looking forward to the next!

Really like the table build and the art work. You might have a problem with the distance of the bottom shelf the long run may sag over time while pulling the legs inward. Long runs like that are usually supported like you did with the top.

Looks great but I wouldn't have been able to leave it with a 1 inch over hang. It'd drive me insane

Constructive comment. Should have at least a band from side to side under the lower shelf. To don’t put all the stress on the wood . Could be just bolted on to the frame .

You're going to have to add some support to the lower shelf. That's just too long a plank to hang from the ends. It will eventually sag and pull away from the frame. I think you already know that though.

Good job on the table. I hate to say it, but looking at the type of work that you do and the flow of your shop, my thought would be to sell off the rest of the machine tools from the machine shop except one lathe and the mill (and whatever else you actually use). It would free up some space on the racks and if you raised up a shelf on the pallet racks could actually set up the large in that spot. I know it’s your shop and all those line shaft tools are cool, but if you don’t use them they really don’t help you. Keep up the good work

Just curious, are you putting any kind of caps on the bottom of the legs? They'll scratch the floor otherwise. Beautiful table otherwise, nicely done

Nice video. A few weeks ago you talked about why music in the background was here to stay. Your rational made sense; however, I'm one of those viewers who can be very easily get irritated by the music. So I've spent some time figuring out why it bugs me so much. I'm old enough to have lost some sound discrimination...voice & music blend, & I have to turn on captioning. That bothers me, but I can get past it. Likely, the one that really gets my attention is the YouTubing of music. There is a bar or two, occasionally three, then repeat. After about 10 repeats, the repetition begins to get on my nerves. In this video you played KZfaqd music (8 count, repeat; 8 count, repeat & so forth) and non-KZfaqd music. The non-KZfaqd music was awesome.
