There is a big difference between a Spring and a P-Switch. Springs can be passed through from the side, but P-Switches are solid. That alone completely changes the timing for the tech... I think.

Yeah and for that apparently the tech for p-switch and pow triples require a turn back midair to re-grab the item from behind you. Unlike a spring that phases through mario and is grabable from behind the back, while facing forward

Today he lost 8 (extra) lives💔 And cleared 10 courses🏁 3 of those got a homie comment😍 Also 1 got a BOO, 1 skip... and that's all folks! 3912 clears, 5.635% completed, average/video stayed at "just" 6012 episodes left. GG, Panga! Longest streak of not clearing a skipped course is over, 15 uncleared skips.

If I remember right they changed p switch physics in a patch it's possible but it is a frame perfect trick that I'm not sure how to even do.

I've never played Mario Maker, so can someone explain to me the P switch level? Does a double jump make Mario drop the P switch or something?

You can't triple jump with a P switch.

So the third jump in a triple jump has additional height to it, but you can only perform the it with your hands free. Also, throwing an item interrupts the counter for the triple jump, so the level requires you to drop the item while mid air instead of throwing to the next piece of land. So, the intended way to complete that level is to jump, drop the P-switch mid at, do another jump hands free so it counts towards the triple jump, catch the P-switch on the way up
