When I think of my grandparents and their labor-intensive farming methods and how small their yields, comparatively speaking, I could weep for them. I admire your incorporation of new tools and methods and I thank you for teaching.

100% agree. for this much one can buy a lawn tractor and here is a small device that has only few parts and probably costs 100 bucks to manufacture. every video on YT is a sales pitch anyway so makes sence.

It’s not cheap but all you need to do is calculate your return on investment. If you save that many hours a week you can raise another plot, for example, and make another couple thousand a month. So if you have a large enough operation, this will pay for itself in a month.

i want one of these but is six inches the farthest distance available for the paper pots? this wouldn't be a huge problem as i could plant every other pot to achieve 12 inches for say tomato plants. but is it discernible as to which pots will come out of the planter at every other one? i'm currently planting about 8 acres by hand. i have to grow a huge variety of vegetables to market them to the public. i live in a very sparsely populated area. variety is a must to be profitable.

For the most part, the prices for all of these gardening wonder tools is outrageous, even hand tools. Just like everything else, there is always someone out there wanting to take advantage of great ideas to gouge others all in the name of business. Greed! The manufacturer could sell more and help a lot of market gardeners if they didn’t think they had to charge an outrageous price! I am wondering how much this guy is getting for demo’ing this contraption?

youll pay over 200 for the materials alone, the rest of the price is because of the rarity of the product, ingenius method that the inventor developed for ease of use, I would say he does deserve it. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Most people will pay that much even though they will cry about it, its called perfect pricing

In my experience working on an organic produce farm for the last season with the paper potter at our disposal, it is an invaluable tool. I will say there seems to be a slight bit of transplant shock which was to be expected, however, the usefulness of having your plants properly spaced and perfectly in row while increasing efficiency way outweighs the potential drawbacks from stunting growth a week or two. This tool is essential for anyone looking to ramp up their market farm/garden production and efficiency. Thanks for sharing.

I used something like this to plant saplings when I volunteered for the local forestry co-op, but it was bigger and pulled by a small tractor. Nathan I just had a visual of lawn mower size device that lays four rows at the same time. laying down four wheels of seed strip. And you could plant tomatoes, squash and larger spaced plant seeds. Only draw back would be your starting seeds, not seedlings. But lettuce grows fast enough. Would still have a huge market. Could even pull behind garden tractor or ATV. Talk about fast!

+DragonflyArtz1 why not make it selfdriving? one of those gasoline lawn mowers as base and to provide some weight 4 strips at the same time. you place it at the start, start it and it slowly moves along. make sure it drives a straight line and all is fine. an old hand truck to move the device around without problems... i would guess you could build such a machine for a couple of hundred $, if not free using old parts over the winter.
