I have mastered a lot of things that need exact coordination in sports and music but there I could slow it down to 1/10 and practice. In FPV you only have time when you're not inverted, otherwise you are under pressure, even with some height. I wish there were simulator settings to slow things down, that would make practicing some tricks so much easier. And yes, I know, muscle memory needs to build in realtime but there is enough time to train that once the trick is understood completely.

Hey mate, most simulators do allow you to slow things down so you can practice tricks with less pressure. It might be a setting like 1/2 speed.

Hey Vanover and LetsFly, nice flying! I'd love to see what you two can do with the Runcam Thumb pro V2. I know you don't use much EIS so that would be cool to see. I just got one and the footage looks SO FREAKING GOOD for a $90~ camera... but I'm a crap pilot, so I'd like to see what a pro can do with it. Make sure it's a V2 pro, the new lens it so much better!

how does it compare to other action cams if you have some to compare? am hesitating between one and getting an action 2 for cinematic shots (can't afford to crash these in freestyle, although getting a care package for an action 2 is possible where I live I think)

@@smp1990 I currently have the walksnail hd, same ones Vanny is using in this video. Though I'll probably switch to HDZero cause I want an analog option. Also walksnail doesn't have hdmi in which sucks.

Not new or proprietary, but a solid and flashy trick. It also works well in the order of yaw 180 -> pitch 180 (up or down) -> roll 180 to level. Any combination that combines 2 or more axes of rotation and gets you back to the entrance orientation pretty much counts as a 'cube - per Charpu's earliest teachings. What Vanover does to make them shine is work the tempo. For me, the quintessential "Vanover Cube" is the classic Rubik's version but with a slow-motion roll. That one's trickier, and he's the first I've seen do it ;-)

Vanny you're truly at one with your kwad. Its great seeing you fly on the spot, if you know what I mean.. I noticed the other day that you said you wouldn't put another video up until it supersedes the last one. I don't think you realise how good you actually are. I'm sure people would love to see more of your flying like this. You should do some live flying on your channel, it would be great seeing more of your raw flying. You're a true master. 🕊️✌️👍👊

Been doing this for awhile and its awesome! And maybe you guys could share tips on backward tricks such as loop - inverted yaw - half matty thingy while you are looping into something. That would be great.

Just practice it on a sim. None of these tricks they do are “difficult”. It’s all muscle memory and timing (literally several attempts until you no longer think about the stick movements). Nothing you can “tell” anyone how to do it.

I've never heard of this one, nor have I noticed it in a flight edit. It looks cool, but I think it would fill up space in my brain that I've been reserving for other tricks. I can do a passable Rubick's Cube as long as I'm not too close to the ground, but I don't have any hope if I need to stay in the air. But that's not what I'm really trying to perfect. I've been struggling with the Juicy Flick for years. I can do the mechanics of it - a quick flip, followed by a slow roll, and then yaw out before I hit something. But it's always lacking… juice. I look at Bubby's Juicy Flicks, and they just flow. I think part of what makes his look so good is that he keeps the same spot in view as he does the slow roll (similar to what's happening here with the Vanny Cube). It creates a mesmerizing corkscrew effect. There's also some magic in transitioning from the quick flip to the slow roll fast enough that I don't hit the ground, but not so fast that it just turns into a two axis flip. Maybe I should practice higher up? I'm not sure what I need to do to make it look good. I'd like to see a tutorial on how to do the mechanics of juicy flick, but also how to get the artistry right so that it has the namesake juice.

Half flip, full roll, half flip out facing the same way you started is a rubik's.

@@rambozo_fpv176 That's what I thought. I do a variant, for some reason I find it a lot easier to backflip 180, full roll, then front flip out of it. And I'm quite fond of how it looks too. I refer to it as a rubiks cube, someone can fight me about it.

@@SwainixFPV I actually also throw juicy flickis backwards sometimes too. Not all the time, I'm primarily front flip JF but the occasional backflip JF looks sweet too
