Snake path takes damage into account, but it's not usually perfect. For example it will always take a clear path of the same distance rather than going through red, but it generally won't choose a longer path and doesn't try to make too many decisions between two risky paths. There's actually a lot of factors besides just DPS of the tile, for example you're better off spending 2 tiles in a single guard's range than 1 tile each in 2 guards' because of their cooldown between attacks.

48:00 See the slime at the very front. It is almost dead but because of its move speed it avoided all the fires and made it to the exit LOL
