Still wish hyper sonic would come back. Sonic is WAY stronger than he was in Sonic 3. It wouldn't be too far off to think he could find a way to turn the emeralds super as well. Besides, The End forced Sonic to go beyond Super Sonic anyway and that power is supposedly gone as of right now.

Ian originally wanted hyper sonic for the final boss before the update even, but sega said they didn't like power creep. (despite sonic clearly getting stronger and stronger in every game. to the point he can beat Perfect chaos outside his super form now.) its even more annoying since we got super sonic 2 after they made that statement to Ian. so hopefully this makes them more willing to have hyper in future games.

@@tlst94 It would be literally impossible for them to do that, even if they "leaked" it out to someone in the form of a beta. Sega holds the copyright to Sonic and publishes the official Sonic games. If these employees sidestepped their bosses (who are also their publisher), they'd not only get fired, but they'd potentially get sued, on top of the leak getting investigated and shut down. It could even have ripple effects throughout the fangame community, but that's the most extreme. Plus, it'd never be "official". At best, if this hypothetical build were leaked, it'd be unplayable on consoles unless users jailbroke them to inject and run the code. There would be a lot more hassle to even ensure it would be playable. That's why a game publisher matters, and that's why they can't just sidestep Sega like that.

If we had this on day one... Super Sonic 2 was bad ass and epic, but seeing Hyper Sonic again would have been peak. I loved the game and I was proud to be a Sonic fan at its launch but this would have made me cry like a baby. That and I hope they fix the creepy glitch in the eyes at the end

It's still so shit that Sonic Team just wouldn't allow Hyper Sonic to return for this, despite Ian Flynn pitching the idea. Like its just so thematically appropriate being that the game is focused on the Origins and Secrets of the Chaos Emeralds. And with Cyberspace, a place that draws upon Sonics Memories, when Master King Koco teaches Sonic to harness the power of his Cyber Corruption, it could have allowed Sonic to tap into Cyberspaces power and manifest his memories of back when he was Hyper Sonic in Sonic 3, allowing him to become Hyper Sonic once again for a brief time until he dispels the Cyber Corruption at the end of the fight. Seriously what's the point of even hiring writers if you're just going to shoot down golden ideas? Edit: Also Seriously just imagine the reactions people would have had if it was kept a secret. The fight against the end proceeds as normal and then he whips Hyper Sonic out, people would go ballistic seeing him just appear. I can hear the "ITS HYPER SONIC!" Screams now. Then the text popup appears saying "Utilizing Cyber Space, Sonic has brought back an old transformation from the depths of his memories. Go forth and show The End the true power of HYPER SONIC"

It would be nice to see hypersonic return in a game someday, but according to the Lore in sonic three didn’t you turn into hypersonic due to the fact of the master emerald was nearby, and it turned the emeralds into super emeralds

The Hyper Form did happen though, at least according to the new lore that Sonic Mania ended up putting after the massive changes that happened after Sonic Generations to the whole timeline So either Sonic or Knuckles got to use the Hyper Form at the cost of permanently locking it away once they stopped using it by turning the Super Chaos Emeralds into Stone Relics once the Chaos Emeralds drifted away to new Special Stages, leaving behind those remnants in Hidden Palace

In truth hyper sonic was originally planned to be in the final fight but sega said no. They didn't want to be apart of the "next power level trope." But then people complained that the original ending was kinda crap which it was so we got the final horizon update which went back on what said sega. In short sega shot themselves in the foot. Twice.

@@M.G92211 The reason they didn't wanna do the "next power level" cliche is because they don't wanna make Super Sonic obsolete. If he could just go to "the form beyond", why would he use Base Super Sonic anymore? Look at how often Goku used SSJ3 in DBS lol. With SS2 and Cyber Sonic, they kind of had a clever workaround tho. It's the next level, but it's a one and done deal - he burned out all the energy. Still want hyper back tho :

@@user-qf5fj3mk8eNot really, anymore. I changed it so that his movement speed is a little faster, his specials are faster, and he has a couple new attacks now, Chaos Meteor and Hyper Flash. He has more attacks while using the open world version. He deals a little.ore damage now, iirc. It's been awhile, lol.

@KewelsBri It would be a su- wait I just realized, but are you the mod creator? 0.0 Anyway, as I was saying, superior upgrade over Super Sonic 2, so the parry would still be able to function like the perfect parry, but like the one from easy (which has way more leeway), and the damage and speed would be like... doubled or something. It would be an absolute OP mod or something. Oh, and if one could use Hyper Sonic in the regular islands, then somehow have him fly similar to tail's mech in the game. 🤔 Also, thanks for reading my comment. :)

@@luislebronaponte2737 Yes, I am, lol. I would need to put some thought into it, but I'm looking to wrap up this mod and work on something else soon. Also, Hyper Sonic is included in this mod for the open world. Both cyan and color changing are included, and he even has a form of flight.

The Master King Koco's trial would be a lot easier with three words: infinite ring mod. This way people can actually enjoy the fights. Also, a mod that allows for an automatic perfect parry would help because then the people playing the game won't have to worry about timing the parries, all they need to do is hold down the parry buttons and the mod would make it act like a perfect parry. Someone better get to work on those mods. If they can't do an automatic perfect parry mod, then how about a mod that actually shows the right time to pull of a perfect parry. Hopefully this info will help make the trials more enjoyable to players.

This so could of happened. Sonic mastered cyber corruption energy which comes from cyber space That is a place formed by memories of the host Mastering such a power could make you choose what memory you want to manifest. Digging deep into your own thoughts from years ago to bring out a memory of the time when you went hyper,he could of manifested a pseudo hyper form of that memory alone using mastery over the energy to maintain it

Working on that. I know how to increase the size of them, but the emeralds are really finicky from my experience. I know there are mods that replace the emeralds with other models, I just haven't figured out how to ignore certain issues so far.
