@@X_irtz No it uses the cpu definetly and probably has hardware acceleration but you need to draw to the desktop window. There is an optimization though, were it wont render when the desktop is hidden by another window

@@creemyforlul5050 I have used this app on a 10 year old card and it worked fine and didn't bog down the GPU. The wallpapers also have different levels of resource intensity aswell, so they are not all the same.

There are some issues with your tips: Edit 2: TL;DR: I also recommend to use websites like Unsplash for wallpapers if you have an old computer, and organise your desktop if you want it to look good. If you have light icons, set TranslucentTB to make the taskbar blurry. The only things you're doing are moving the apps on the taskbar to the centre, using an animated wallpaper and installing Translucent TB. While that is a reasonable starting point, there is much more to it. I warn you to take my advice with caution: I would recommend that you organize your desktop shortcuts and folders into their own place. For example, if you have a lot of shortcuts on your desktop, you might consider moving them to the Start menu, and then only leaving apps which you start first on your desktop: I personally recommend less than 10 shortcuts, but it depends on your screen size. Or else, if you have a lot of folders, you can move them to their own. For example, if you have a lot of documents and folders, you can group those folders into a bigger one, and gradually sort those in their own folders - like This PC/Documents, and so on - as time goes. Also, I recommend to not set your Translucent TB as completely transparent, but make it blurry, if you're using a light wallpaper. The reason for this is that some applications with logos in bright colours can be difficult to see. Animated wallpapers might also reduce performance on low-end PCs. As an alternative, you can find some good wallpapers on websites like Unsplash, which give wallpapers at high definition. Edit 1: I forgot to mention, that way of moving apps to the centre more absolute than relative: if you add other apps on the taskbar, you might need to move the taskbar to the left, instead of automatically adjusting itself. Your video was 29 seconds, and you decided to use 29 seconds out of 60. You had a lot of time to explain, but you didn't. Of course, I'm not expecting you to explain word-by-word as much, but those 30 seconds could have made it clearer for new viewers. Feel free to correct me if there are inaccuracies. I will correct them as soon as I get a notification.

I use black screen with hiding taskbar to save energy when not playing a game. If I’m away more than 2 minutes the screen turns off, if I’m gone 30 the system goes into sleep. Not really much opportunity for a wallpaper to be needed
