You technically got the “bad” ending, you probably know this by now, but you can use the bunny to lure him to a bridge at the end of the game and blow it up so he can’t follow you to the surface and escape.

Addition to this idea: the type and loudness is depending on what you have in the inventory; for example metal or glass objects make louder clanging noises that can be detected from far away, while paper or tessile materials make a more dampened rustling sound that has a lower range of detection

@@blazerker1640 Perhaps the game is a gothic or weird horror, where you play as a thief trying to steal enough valuables from a mansion to pay off some debt, but as you extract more and more valuables and make noise doing so, you awaken more of the things living within.

The achievements pops were genuinely some of the funniest moments as I played the first time hearing an explosion go off somewhere you aren't and then getting an achievement for blowing open a door with an explosive was both baffling and funny.

When those explosions go off randomly, it's because the monster or a rat triggered an explosive trap, which there is a chance of happening. If the monster's hit box touches the trap while it's walking over it, or a rat get scared off by its presence and manages to walk through the trap, it will trigger.

I’m a bit late, but the gas mask in the game is the “smoke hood”. They were a cloth hood that was dipped in a hypo solution. They do cover the ears.

This is the first great game we've gotten in the Amnesia franchise since Dark Descent. Machine For Pigs and Rebirth were great story-wise, but they were severely lacking in gameplay and terror, which luckily Bunker has both of in plentiful supply, even if it's lacing a bit in story compared to Dark Descent. This was something really new for Frictional, as they've only ever had a knack for story driven games, which is why Bunker is so short compared to their other titles. Frictional didn't want to put too much effort and resources into something that could be received really poorly for how different it is to their previous works, but they still put their heart and soul into the Bunker, and it shows greatly. They also intended for the game to be speed ran, with the stats menu at the end of the game and the fact that you can straight up just skip the prologue after beating the game once. Even with the RNG for non-significant items, codes, and traps, this game can still be ran through relatively quickly once you get the layout of the Bunker down and understand how the monster's AI works.
