@@clementine2001 Huh, after a Google search it seems you are correct on that. I'd always heard and read that it was mostly human skin cells. I guess knowledge about dust has improved since I was at school. Thanks for the correction!

I owned a 30GB Zune and used it daily. The Zune HD was where it was at though, I always loved the interface and want Microsoft to have a 3rd party music app using that interface.

I still have a Zune HD around here and it's the BEST. I started with a normal Zune, 30GB I think. It was my first digital music player. I was using CDs or my PSP until I got it for Christmas one year. It was life changing.

I’m sure there has to be SOME way to get the Zune to work. There’s always a community for things like this. Even if it’s running a separate Open Source Firmware like Rockbox. I had an iRiver iHP-120 that was SO chunky and durable. Basically a laptop HDD with an MP3 player and battery built around it as the case. Loved that thing and put Rockbox on it a few times. Since it doubled as an external HDD it was perfect for all my video production and graphic design classes in college.

I still own my 2nd Generation ZUNE 80gb. It was so much better made than the original version. Still works but barely holds a charge anymore. Tempted to order a replacement battery that I found on Amazon. But I don't use it anyway.

So I have the Zune HD and with some work put in with installing packages and drivers directly from people that preserved those files, you can activate the software and troubleshooter on Windows 10 pro to get anything straightened out to use your Zune again ^.^ I use it as my D&D ambient/boss music player lol

I still own and occasionally pull out my Zune hd. The touch screen one. It took me over 3 hours of troubleshooting to get Zune software to work on my windows 10 pc.

My Zune worked with Windows 10, Did a restore and its fully functional. Not 100% sure if it works with Win 11 though.

Well now this is quite the video! I bought that same Justin Timberlake marionette back in 1999 at media play... Yes the zune works for me on windows 10...you have to download from another source. I can walk you through if you need help. Either way, great video!

As a zombies fan, loved the little music cues with that old broken doll for the mystery box moving. I even heard the "Bye Bye" in my head lol. *Edit, and then there's the "Bye Bye", watching it at the same time as commenting. 2nd edit, even got the zombie sounds in it, awesome, cod zombie fan approved lol.

I feel retroactively justified in my choice of the iPod over Zune due to the fact that it's still usable to this day. I was and still am a PC user, never owned anything else Mac but still got a 6th gen iPod Classic as my only MP3 player (until last year when I bought an old iPod mini). I'm still using it to this day, and actually modified it to use a 5th gen Video's back and an 1800 mAh battery.

Actually the zune is usable to this day I have 2 of em and work on windows 7 8 and 10 just have to get the firmware which there is a fansite that has all that and shows you how to install it

the funny part is you think the people at Goodwill tried to get it running. It's usually some minimum wage person who doesn't care at all. SWIM works at a place like this and the people aren't even paid lol nor do they know anything about any of the stuff they are selling. Zune is one of the products that by all accounts was very good but I only remember it being the butt of every joke. I know the name sucks and it came super late to the Ipod party but looking back, it was mercilessly shit on for very little reason.
