I couldn't possibly put into words what my dad means to me and all the sacrifices he's made over his entire lifetime to ensure we have everything we could ever need. Today was his 70th birthday. 70! He has given and given and given his whole life and so for his 70th birthday we decided to give him a surprise he never expected!
We charted a full size school bus and bus driver to take us on an epic scavenger hunt 70 years in the making! We devised clues that would take him to various meaningful locations from his childhood. We visited places like the hospital where he was born, his childhood home, his elementary school, the ski resort he broke his in three places skiing at! Then the final destination was a restaurant for a big family dinner...
But in this parking lot was a new car! We surprised my dad with an Audi A8! He's always dreamed of driving an A8 but for most of his life has taken the bus because his car has been in the shop and rather than pay to get it out he has made sure the money has gone to my mom or their kids.
He is the definition of a selfless husband and father and it was truly our pleasure and honor to celebrate him today! We love you Pop!
