Creed got a lot of flack mostly because of the christian undertones to many of their songs. They were one of the best selling bands in the 2000's. They sold 28 million records in the U.S. and 53 million worldwide so yeah they had some hits.

I maybe wrong, but the way I took this video. I think it was the old blind dude reflecting on this life's memories while traveling to his end journey. Then he finds himself and moves on to his final journey. Awesome reaction guys!

Can’t fully quote how he said it, but basically he said that it’s about reconnecting with who you were before going into a dark place such as depression or substance abuse/addiction. His sacrifice? Giving up his vices that make him feel “free” “careless” and that he can “believe”. Remember when I heard this, you apply this to the song and you’ll see what I’m trying to explain.

I believed this song was about addiction or depression from the video where he’s ignoring the woman in water basically pushing people away and the world around him is under water since it either of those can feel like your drowning and the second verse is about getting back to yourself “it feels so good to reunite within yourself and your mind”

Creed was an absolute force of nature. Its funny how everyone says they knew Creed was a Christian band, but they played over regular air radio. No one really knew, and later on everyone realized it. Its like the movie 6th Sense, Everyone says they knewm but they didnt.

My Sacrifice, One Last Breath, Higher & With Arms Wide Open are the reason Creed get hate. They were HUGE hit records that were constantly played, the videos were also pretty cheesy. All 4 are very good songs nonetheless but where Creed shine are their other songs that most casual listeners won’t know. Torn, My Own Prison, What If, Are You Ready, Faceless Man, Wash Away Those Years, Pity For A Dime, Bullets, Hide. Seriously people need to give this band a chance.

Please check out Alter Bridge Blackbird Live! The Band was formed after Scott Stapp left Creed. Alter Bridge has all of the original members of Creed the only exception is lead Singer Myles Kennedy! Myles vocals are phenomenal and the guitar Solos are kick ass! I love your Reactions!! You will be BLOWN AWAY! I agree Fuk Creed 😂

The 2 biggest bands in the world in the late 90's early 2000's we're Creed & Nickelback . You guys need to check out Creed's songs Higher , One Last Breath , What If , My Own Prison , What's This Life For , Don't Stop Dancing , Overcome , On My Sleeve , Rain & their biggest hit With Arms Wide Open . Their song With Arms Wide Open , Scott Stapp found out that his girlfriend was pregnant so he wrote the lyrics for the song & didn't know how he wanted to write the music part of the song & the lead gutairest Mark Trumonti had the music part wrote for a song & didn't have any lyrics to put with what he had . So one day Scott was talking to Mark & found out that Mark had the music written , so they put the two together & it became their biggest hit .

They were great. I seen them once after they got big and they were great live. Oh, and they aint no Backstreet Boy look no where near as good as Scott from Creed. Check out "What it", its harder and "Arms Wide Open" is softer but its GREAT. THANKS!!!❤❤❤❤

There’s a lot of religious imagery in this video, with the man who kisses the fish (4 fish & 3 loaves of bread), the water, rescuing yourself & reconnecting with faith, etc. The lead singer, Scott Stapp’s father was a minister & their music did have a religious lean to it. But it is sad that he slid into the whole drugs and sex scene just as the band was reaching up there. I hope he’s clean and still performing

No its not. You can find quotes from the band that unambiguously state it's about finding your old self after going clean. "This song - and I think you can see it in the video - is essentially talking about coming out of the throes of a dark period in your life, whether that be a dark depression or a period of substance abuse or alcoholism, and then reconnecting with yourself."

I don't know how you got that from this song, if you actually listened to the lyrics. Lol The only possible way you could've gotten that interpretation is perhaps relying only on the visuals. "It feels so good to reunite within yourself and within your mind" is the big key line that it's about yourself/himself. Also the visual of him pulling himself out of the water. Say, when you're on drugs, you lose yourself. And you can't be reunited with yourself unless you get off of that stuff. You're free.

Great song, another stupid music video that has nothing to do with the song. Most of their songs have nice lyrics, but these music videos distract people from hearing them. I personally think you're better off listening to the music first and ingesting the songs before videos. Just my opinion.
