Thistlegorm is included on pretty much every liveaboard itinerary, she can be dived by day-boat from Sharm and is claimed to be worth more tourist income than the Pyramids of Giza. She was built in wartime and was sunk by German bombs on her first run to Egypt in 1941, crammed full of supplies for the North African Desert War: trucks, motorcycles, aircraft spares, munitions and much more, the majority of which are still there to be seen. She’s probably the highlight of any trip for most divers.
