Laeticia Cavanagh I believe our Cadbury chocolate tastes different cause they have to change the melting point to suit our climate. When I was a teenager and worked at the local target store, the air conditioner broke and the entire supply of Easter eggs melted on the shelves. The whole lot was thrown out.
@ickythump89
@ickythump89 4 жыл бұрын
Our Cadbury in Australia is different than the UK as we have an extra ingredient in it to stop it melting due to the climate. I agree that it’s nicer in the UK Ireland though it has a more cocoa taste . It is our top chocolate brand though.

Here's something you need to try, and be a judge of 🙂. Most Australians aren't aware of this, but Arnott's make four different Gingernut biscuits depending on the region. When they bought different companies early last century they kept the individual recipe. They are all very different including taste, texture, look, and size. It's very difficult though to get the four varieties here as they are only available in their respective regions. Have you tried Violet Crumble and Menz Fruchocs (original are best)? Fruchocs are a favoured sweet in the state of South Australia. So good! The taste test of the different Gingernut versions would be good as you are impartial. Each state when they know think theirs is superior!

In Australia Cadbury changed their recipe a couple of years ago so the chocolate didn’t melt as easily. Australians definitely weren’t happy about this. Personally I buy imported British Cadbury chocolate from speciality shops because I don’t like the new Australian recipe. I’m visiting the UK next year and think I will need an extra bag to bring back all the chocolate lol. Oh also the little spike animal on the chocolate wrapper, the Echidna. It’s pronounced E -kid - na. Take care guys !

Arnotts changed the recipe for iced vovos years ago. When I was a kid they were bigger and had a pretty thick line of jam with puffy lines of pink marshmallow on either side. They were sprinkled with coconut and were the most delicious things ever. I miss those bikkies so much. They were a special treat my grandmother would give us when we visited. They changed the recipe for a LOT of the classic biscuits.
