I have the McRocklin Polychrome plugin. It's pretty good. I personally prefer the Neural DSP stuff though.

BTW Fishman should start sending you royalties because your Abasi review literally made me go buy the set =]

The "Lepage set" is literally the open core classic set. The only difference is cosmetic. They will get you that vintage hot tone, no problem.

@@ChrisTompkins-Music-And-Gearyes indeed, the Lepage set is identical to open core classic (which sound great). Just got this guitar with these pickups. What I learned is that there are 2 types of Fluence “Artist” pickups. The Signature line, which are fully custom voicings, such as the Abasi set. And the Custom line which are tweaks on the existing Fishmans. Both the Lepage and McRocklin are in the Custom line. It looks like McRocklins are the same voice 1 and voice 2 as the Open Classic, but the single coil tone is the Fluence overwound hot tone (perhaps similar to voice 2 on the Fluence strat pickups). That, and purple :)

Fishman pickups come with the push/pull pots, because active pickups require 25K pots vs the 250k or 500k that passive pickups use.

@@ChrisTompkins-Music-And-Gear ahhhhhh, so I would have to switch out the pots too? And, did you have to modify this guitar for the battery and anything else?

I did have to enlarge the existing holes in the body for the larger fishman pots. There is enough room in the electronics cavity to also fit a 9v battery so, no mod needed there. I can't remember if I had to switch the output jack or not with this one... But often times when going from passive to active pickups, you need to swap the output jack from a mono jack, to a stereo jack. If the guitar has a standard output jack, then you will need to swap to the stereo output jack, which is also included with the pickups. The stereo jack is needed to hook up the battery. Otherwise the battery will die over night. The cable plugging into the guitar essentially completes the circuit for the battery. So the pickups are "on" when its plugged in and off when you unplug the cable. You can't leave the guitar plugged in when you're not playing. Otherwise the battery will drain. Hope this helps.
