I'm a first year college student and I'm 52 years old! Your 10 study tips were great and I'm putting them to use. Keep up the great work! 33 years out of school and then returning is a little daunting but, I'm doing it.

I saw one ages ago about studying with a certain candle each time you study because the scent will become associated with the subject. Because none of my professors would appreciate my whipping out a candle during exams, I got a different scented lipbalm for each class, and wear that class's balm to class and during study sessions, as well as during the test. I have no idea if it actually works, or if it's placebo, but I have found it easier to get better grades after starting this. The only down side is that I now have to carry 3-5 different lip balms, but at about $3 each, a $9-15 investment that can potentially boost my future earning power is definitely worth it, even if it is just me convincing myself it will work. Convince, self, convince!
@fidahaq9729
@fidahaq9729 8 жыл бұрын
+EmileeArsenic lol did you really whip out a candle during an exam :') but yes i have a similar method where i listen to certain music while studying and just before an exam i play this music while reviewing the course content. Don't know how effective this is but the study music really helps me focus and my focus is kinda linked to this music now

My nursing exams were all electronic so I actually used the tip you mentioned. I'd go through the whole test and answer everything I knew for sure. Anything I didn't I'd leave unanswered and then I'd see if any of the questions related or gave answers to the ones I didn't know. It actually works to help you either select the right answer or narrow it down to 2 possible answers. Glad you shared this yip BC not many students realize this.

Wow Thomas Frank, fantastic video! These are all great tips. I agree most with the idea of making a cheat sheet/ practice exam. Getting that core information down is critical to making information stick when the test comes around. I'm also really digging the animations and image clips. This makes study videos way better to watch opposed to some slow lecture. Keep up the good work, Tom! Can't wait for the next one.

That's because he actually recorded and edited all these videos during one day in 2007, and then set an automatic uploading schedule to make it seem like this is an active channel, even now. Some say he lost his login info right about the same time. erhm. Maybe not. But I agree - he does look very much the same in every video. Maybe it's the same person or something, I don't know..
