Welcome back everyone, it's been a while since I brought you guys a “how to tie a man bun” video as I’ve been focusing a lot more on building the Man Buns & Manes hair growth community and have found myself always time poor when it comes to playing with my own hair.
Nonetheless, I have been playing around with a few new man bun styles as of late and this is my new favourite. For this style you will need the following products to do it successfully:
Boar Brush: amzn.to/34pOdSy
Strong Hold Hairspray: amzn.to/3c6cUpJ
John Frieda Frizz Ease: amzn.to/2Xyx33s
Sturdy Hair Tie (preferably a sports one): amzn.to/2JYaPjq
You’ll also only really benefit from this hairstyle and tutorial if you have a full man bun. It’s not really made for undercut or fade man buns unfortunately. If you do have an undercut man bun you might benefit from some of my man bun braids styles that I I did a while back. You can find them here:

If those braid styles don’t do anything for you and you’re really dead set on trying you really want to try this, schedule your last haircut, set a date and come join the Man Buns & Manes Hair Growth Community for support on how to grow a man bun the right way. You can join the community by clicking the following link and following the prompts: manbunsandmanes.com/
Everyone is welcome in the community, it doesn’t matter if you have no idea what you are doing in regards to your hair, whether you’re black, asian, Caucasian, curly, straight or gay.
The purpose of the community is to help each other through the awkward stages of growing your hair out and you’ll certainly get more tips on how to do a man bun properly than you will from this one video lol.
On top of that, if a full man bun is really what you are going for, it’s always a good idea to try is searching on google or Pinterest for some inspo to keep you going along the way.
I personally draw a lot of my inspiration from Jason Momoa, Kit Harrington (as John Snow) and Harry Styles. They seem to be really good representations of how to make a man bun work for you. Most of them wear messy man bun styles which normally is what I like, but I also like wearing conservative styles like the one I did in this video.
Either way, the hair growth process is nothing to dread as there’s tons of support etc out there for you.
For those of you who have got a full man bun going on, I hope you enjoy this style and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments and I want you to let me know if you try it as well!
