I try to keep my Adventure Tool Kit to a minimum and as lightweight as possible. But I need tools that work and makes my life easy when I'm in need for it. This is my setup, I know a lot of you have requested it. Enjoy

You can drill a hole at the end of the tubular lazy arm to be able to attach a fishing scale, or maybe even stick it inside the hole at the end. This way you can not only weigh your fish but tighten up with correct torque specs on the trail.

Maybe instead of manual bicikle pump you can use the pump WHICH is atached to your battery so i think this is much much easy work

As an alternative to the Motion Pro Rim Protectors, I bring pieces of plastic cut from large laundry detergent jugs (or similar). They are so thin, flexible, tough and light that they get the job done and cost nothing. Great video I just say. Thanks for the content. -Have ordered a few things from Eastbound Tools subsequent to watching, will be able to shrink the size and weight of my kit because of it.

That really is an awesome pump. I use it for the moto and the mountain bike. It has survived 5 years for me which is pretty good.

Great video Thomas, you never disappoint! You have made me rethink not having to carry so many tools and I just discovered Eastbound a week ago but have not ordered anything just yet but it was great to know you liked them. You are pretty strong to lift your bike with one hand and get the jack under the swing arm :) Very nice design though...Thanks for creating such great content and as always I look forward to your next adventure.

Thank you Mike, appreciate that. I see many people bring huge amount of tools on their trips, and how much do they really need? Yes, a lot of them are nice to have, but I would rather safe some weight. Off-course if I was traveling trough remote areas for weeks on, I would bring more, but for my normal riding there is just not any needs. The Eastbound tool has impressed me a lot. What a genius invention 👏🏻 Much more to come mate... so much more to come 🤩🎥

I have the Eastbound tools all the time with me on the T7. The two small bags fit perfectly in the space above the battery/fuse area and below the seat. I use a similar air pump to bring my tires back to the right air pressure. 20 x pump = 1 bar increase of the front tyre, 30 x pump = 1 bar increase of the rear tire. So knowing this I have to measure air pressure only once, fill up the cold tyres in the morning and enjoy the ride 💙💛🏁🤛🏼

I have quite a nice spot under the seat as well, where the original tools was. I will try to see where I can fit it all. Hope to have everything on the bike instead of in my luggage. I need to air down my tires to 1.5 bar and see how much I can gain with this pump, like you say... numbers like this are great to have for not switching back and forth to see how much bar you have all the time. Good tip 👌🏻

I had great succsess with the motion pro, bead breaker thing. no real slip issues, but you can pinch your self if not careful. I like the toolkit for fron/rear tire removal instead of the RR one, might get that. Thanks buddy

Oooh... I have had a terrible time with the Motion Pro. And yeah, it is really easy to pinch some skin when pushing them together 🤣 The toolkit packs so small, and have everything you need in such a sexy package. Easy to store under the seat. Cheers Buddy

Some really nice things in there. The east bound tyre levers had me at "hello".I have the amazing little trail jack and I can store it anywhere since it's so small and light. And, I envy that damn camera you have... at least in studio mode. On the bike I keep to the small stuff try to compensate with silly jokes instead. See you around! /Rob

The Eastbound tools are damn impressive. I did not expect it to be so easy to use. The Trail stand is also quite unique. I have a huge soft spot for well engineered stuff like this 🤩 Haha, well... you do the joke and silly stuff way better than any of us, we need to compensate with expensive equipment etc 🤣 Have a great trip down south mate, see you soon 🤌🏻🇸🇪

I have the Eastbound bead breaker/tire irons and the larger motion pro bead breaker tire irons...I much prefer the motion pro particular for bead breaking on very stiff adventure tires...I also much prefer the very slim ends of the motion pro tire irons

Welcome back my good friend 🤩👏🏻 I'm looking into making my tool set even smaller, I see that it is easy to forget to bring it with me everytime I'm going on smal trips. When I have all my luggage it is no problem, but just a day trip. Need to find a good way to store it behind the fairings or something. Haha, I'm already looking forward to next season as well. The first thing i installed on my Yamaha XT660 ZA Ténéré was a original center stand, some bikes come with this as standard but not the Japanese ones, the center stand are light weight and very help-full when serving the bike.

A centerstand is not a good option if you ride offroad or on gravel roads (IMO) and it add extra weight that is not needed. I Serve my bike at home, where I got stands and all my tools. And it is a pricy add-on to the bike compared to a little trail stand .

@@tshansen it ad 4.2 kg off low gravity and from serving as a stable stand it also proteckt the bike underneath between the skip-plate and the back wheel if the bike are hanging on a rock or fallen tree 🌲

The Eastbound tools are great. So are the Motion Pro. The beadbreaker is good but not best. A little soap when starting helps. A Cycle Pump 12v air pump is a good unit. Very compact and durable. Affordable too. Aerostich has a good motorcycle clothes and all accessories catalog. They are in Duluth MN, USA. Been there many times. They manufacture most all their riding gear. Good demo and vid TS. This could be a good topic for weekend discussions sometime. Be safe. Get out and enjoy it. Twist the Grip.

Thank you Sir. And yes, the eastbound tools are really great. Way better than I expected. When you are used to working with proper tools, you know that trail tools are a compromise, but this really worked way better than other tire tools I have. Yeah, I think soap in the beginning is the key to a much smoother "tire off" session. I always use that with my tire machine. I found a compressor on the same page as eastbound tools that got my eye. Really small and compact. Maybe something I will look into this season. A hand pump does the job, but not without breaking a sweat 🤣 Stay safe mate. Cheers

Ja, det er en sannhet med modifikasjoner, men i veldig mange tilfeller så ja, en plugg og smokk så er man på tur igjen. Drive å ta av og på hjulet er latterlig med jobb. Når det er sagt, så sies det, at de fleste punkteringer som ikke er knipe hull i slange. Er større hull som ikke er like lett å fikse med plugg (på gruskjøring) Men ja, det lukter tubeless i enden på tunnelen 😆

Thanks, Thomas, for showing your tool kit. By coincidence I have the same valve puller. I like the products of Motion Pro and Eastbound, but my Touratech pouch for fixing a flat tyre is still funtional. Hand pump and Flaig pressure checker included in that pouch. Wish they'd invent something for the spare tubes to make them smaller and lighter ;-) Luckily I didn't need them on ACT Pyrenees in the last few weeks. Cheers from Nürnberg/Germany, Günter

Hello Günter... glad you liked it. Well, there is a lot of similar tools on the market, and I guess most of them do the same job quite good. I have been a huge fan of motion pro for many years, but the bead pro is not that good. Compared to a lot of the other tools they have. The eastbound tools are so much better and packs smaller. Yeah, the spare tube is always what packs most. I'm looking into a solution where I vacuum pack a spare and attach it under the rear fairings.

For me (normal Tenere, not a World Raid) the inner tube fits fine under the rear fairing. You just need to make sure you don’t roll it up to a small thick circle let’s say but fold it in longer flatter pieces. In a plastic bag zip tied to the frame worked fine for me. Not sure if the World Raid has less space there though.

If you don't wanna lug around on that enduro tral stand, a normal nylon strap and a tree will just do fine as well, lean it towards the tree snug down the strap and it will hold itself on its own weight. :) eastbound tools..ordered.. damn those were clever. :D

well, lug around is not the right word since it is just over 100g 🤣 the problem with a strop here in Norway is that they cut down the trees close to the roads and there is always a ditch between the road and the forrest around. So it can be hard to find a good place to strop your bike. So here I live, a stand is a much better option (in most cases) The eastbound tool are just amazing. Really love them. But I see with the kit I already have that a Base Kit for tyre repairs and an additional 32mm is the only thing I really need to komplement my toolkit in a great way. Maybe a wrench that fits to the front sprocket as well. (not really needed but handy. Cool! Regarding the electric pump, used it to the bicycle today. I use it for the bicycle, van and motorcycle.

I have the same valve remover but it comes apart easy at the end. I had to put some loctite on it in the end.

Thanks for sharing! You mentioned at the end you carry extra chain links, but are they actually useful on the trail without a chain tool?

I do have a small chaintool that I bring on my longer trips, and the link is in my jacket. If I'm lucky, someone else has or you could improvise if the chain brakes. You never know. But I dont have a chain tool on my bike at all times.

Im pretty sure but dont quote me that the first tire leaver to break the bead you put up the other way against the tire, this creates more effect to break the beead and easier to get the 2nd lever in place. Ive watched afew other vids and have ordered the kit myself but havnt used it yet. Fantastic looking piece if kit. And just need to up date a few parts if you change bikes. Will have this kit for life.b

@tshansen yeah so it makes more leverage. And the lip down gets eaten up by the rubber so more room for the 2nd lever. Hold them together both ways and see? , my kit isn't here yet has taken me a few weeks to justify the cost hahaha. I added the light spanners and there trail stand as well. .

I guess it is there to keep them tighter together. So they don't slip under pressure.

Many thanks for this. I have been half expecting the Eastbound tyre levers being prone to bend, slip or brake in the connections between the sections when force being applied. No signs of that then? Thanks for your great work with the videos!

You are welcome Pål 👏🏻 as long as the o-rings are intact i can’t see they slip at all… and i don’t think they will bend. If they do, you can easy buy a section as spare. On their web page they even claim that you can add a third section without problems. And i really dig in with them and had no bending or disform of any kind. Hey nice video, i just bought an old Transalp 600 -99 and was looking to get a proper toolkit for this bike to able to fix any problems on a long distance travel, and at home. So my question this assuming the spanners are right for my bike, would you consider all you really need?

Get a pencil - wrap it with strong tape. You can fit three sections on one pencil. No need to carry a big roll of tape

Thank you Hestad, hope to see you back in business soon. I find it better to have smaller bags, easy to pack away and store in tighter places. When I ride with my bags, it does not matter, but when I just out riding my bike, it is great to have some tools on the bike at all times. I guess it comes down to personal preferences. 👌🏻

Yes, when you have an inner tube there is no problem to set the bead with any hand pump. I don't remember the max pressure with this pump, but it think it was 6-8 bar. Cheers

Eastbound stuff is great, but I got a Ally used tyre key and a nee KTM 4 size wheel wrench for £20 to do the job of wheel removing, and have the rest of the tools for kit already. How are you finding the T7? After watching I think I’ll get an electric pump!

Yeah, the best thing is to get a tool kit that works and you are happy with. For me, I find it smaller to be better. I'm hoping to not use it to much. Who enjoy a flat on the trails? 🤣🙈 I'm loving the T7 more and more. I really enjoy this bike. And it is so damn fun to ride on gravel. Hahaha, funny you mention this, because Mattias that I was riding with in Sweden had a electric compressor that was quite unique. I guess I will get one of those my self. It don't pack as small, but damn how easy it is to just hook on the tire and let it sit and do it work

@@tshansen I was planning on packing a Specalized MTB high volume pump, but it’s still a lot of pumps for the rear tyre.

@@bryansuperduke1290r Yeah... there will always be a trade off... bigger the better for usage, but hopefully you will not use it. And smaller packs better. The compressors are quite big, so that is the only downside. But they hold batteri for a long time, and are crazy easy to use

Ja, jeg har noen co2 patroner fra mitt gamle dekk repair kit, men med slange går det helt fint å bruke pumpe. (mindre å ha med seg) Med 100 pump, fylte jeg dekket 0.65 bar. Those tools look really amazing from an engineers standpoint.... but one only needs to loose one of those small pieces on a trip and all of the sudden one just carries some expensive useless scrap metal. 😕

Haha, yeah... but you can buy spare for less than a whole new tool if you loose one of the others. And a guy on instagram had a great tip. Put on reflective tape, much more easy to spot if you drop it on the ground.

If you run a tubeless tire, you wouldnt need 70% the tools, just a tire repair kit which is less than 500g and you can pack it in your pocket or under the seat

That i know all about, going from Tubless on my 790 to this, is one of the things i miss! Same with cruise controll! Got a atlas throttle lock, that is good enough, but would love proper cruise control 🙈
