Today future Lottery Picks Amen Thompson, Ausar Thompson, & Tyler Smith got in the lab with NBA legend Mike Miller! Mike took them through an in-depth form shooting workout, and there's no one better than to give this lesson than the 2x NBA Champ famous for his shoeless 3 in the Finals! Mike had the guys break down their shots and focus on the specifics, so that way when they miss a shot they know why and can fix it. Y'all this was super informative ngl and is gonna help the guys so much with their jumpers next season. They're about to be AUTOMATIC!!! Most young guys don't have the patience and/or mental capacity to breakdown there shot - down to the details of mechanics and efficiency. That's good that these guys want to perfect their craft. It will pay off in the long run as they continue to develop.

I’ll tell one of the issues I see, these dudes hands are too close together while holding the basketball hence why it looks awkward, guide hand and shooters hand shouldn’t be that close while on the ball, it should start there

can anyone help me understand the terminology, what does mike miller refer to when it says "B" and "C"? (he told a couple of times "drive your C")

He’s talking about how there’s an ABC process with shooting. A I’m assuming being the catch, B being the elbow, and C being the follow through. Driving your C means driving your follow through and really pushing through that elbow so the follow through ends high

The catch. B is set point, and C is lift (or as Mike put it, driving the elbow through B)

Thompson twin gotta relax and just let the momentum flow from bottom to top while releasing the ball. They so stiff when they jump into their shot, their shot is like a cannon ball with an arc

Probably means keep the movement to a minimum. As long as you drive the ball from your release and keep a stable base with your knees bent you should be good. The power comes from your lower body (knees) and you use your release to guide the ball (high and straight)

They working on mechanics it’s not a miss or make workout you sound slow makes don’t matter in this type of workouts
