Thor started sounding Australian in Ragnarok, however if you listen to him in Infinity War it sounds like the Russos made him speak like he used to in the Avengers 1 and Age of Ultron. His dialogue was more God-like as well compared to Ragnarok. In this trailer though it seems he's slipping back to the Aussie accent again

@@Josh-si6ds I felt like the Russos were trying to strike a balance between the original Thor and the one Tiger created. He wasn't quite as Shakespearean as he has been. I guess another way to look at it is that in Ragnarok, he probably isn't really speaking english as he's interacting with aliens so maybe that's why he sounds different.

@@Josh-si6ds Possibly also aided by the production location. Last 2 thor films were made in Australia + with Taika as the director. Then Avengers is all US based in georgia with US directors

@@alstone4253 yeah they definitely were trying to balance old Thor with Taika's Thor. Hemsworth said in an interview that he talked with the Russos before filming Infinity War to let them know how him and Taika changed the character (in Ragnarok), and that he wanted it to be carried to Infinity War and Endgame. The Russos respected that and so Thor was written with that in mind. Thankfully they made him sound somewhat Shakespearean again (which was fitting for his arc in the movie) mixed with Taika's humor. I'd like to think they continue to balance it in Love and Thunder but idk. I think Hemsworth and Taika have too much fun with the dialogue which is why Hemsworth sounds so loose as Thor now

Movie is a nod to the 2014 reimagined comic that shits on Thors character. It's why in Infinity War Thor was a great warrior and Endgame he was a fat drunk joke. To say it's a nod to the original comics is a shame.

In the entire MCU, only Cap, Spidey, and Black Panther have noble origins. The rest are just douchebags who learn to be less douchey (although Captain Marvel starts as a blank slate and learns to be a douchenozzle, go figure).

Also, the MCU has made the men weaker and even goofy at times. I have zero hopes that this movie will be worth it, but hey, I've been wrong before.
