My summery of this: So after the events of war of the realms, Odin is gone and Thor becomes the new king of asgard. He is currently rebuilding the ruins of his castle when who should smash the party? The devourer of worlds, Galactus who is in really bad shape. Thor is like "what you think you doing bruv?" And galactus is like "I am hurt dude, think I am gonna die" Thor is then like "good, you have been a consistent pain in my ass" but silver surfer turns up and is like "Thor my guy, galactus is our only hope in stopping a thing called the black winter which threatens to fuck our shit up" Thor is like "well what you expect me to do about it?" And surfer is like "Galactus like needs a good breakfast dowg. Take him to these planets, let him eat em and he will be ready to throw down with the black winter" Thor responds with "why dont you do it?" And surfer is like "dude I got my own shit to worry about" thor is like "fine, I'll be his herald. You silver jerk" And thus Thor was infused with the power cosmic and become herald of galactus

My one complaint with this story is how hard they nerfed Galactus. He used to be feared, respected and powerful. Now, he's just a punching bag for whatever new character Marvel decides to push out that week Devourer of Worlds my ass. This version of Galactus can't even devour a tree stump. The dude got hurt by Beta Ray Bill's fucking spaceship in this comic. He's devolved into Yamcha
