This is a review of my new Thor Lake Hammer 1752 Duck Boat.
I have added a Minn Kota Terrova with a Dakota Lithium as well as a Tohatsu 50 with a Solas Stainless Prop. I have a Garmin 93SV and some Noel Industries accessories as well.

Nice boat. I have recently bought one just like it. A couple questions for you. Where did you hook the Garmin power up to? I put a 6” bobs hydraulic jack/kick plate on with a Yamaha 70 running a YBS 17P prop. It’s porpoising real bad when I start to trim up after getting on plane, any recommendations? Thanks

I ran the wires straight to the starting battery. I’m not sure on the jackplate setup.

get some weight in the front or you can get a stingray plate for your motor that goes on the cav plate. you can also get aftermarket trim tabs to go on the back of your boat

@@MudAndWater13 thanks. It has little tabs on the back to adjust. I will keep messing with them to see if that helps. I did drop to a YBS 16P prop and it helped

Few questions. Hows handling? Is the weight of the boat noticeable? What speeds you getting with the 50hp?

The boat handles very well. It comes on plane quickly and is very nimble. No issues at all handling. Very stable. It is slightly heavier than a normal Jon boat due to the thickness and build quality but it is still a light boat. No issues with that at all. I tow it with my old Ford Ranger. I am still in the break in period so I haven’t really tried for a top speed yet. I have hit 32 on my GPS so it is going to be in that range. I have not played with the props or anything yet and that speed was with a stainless. I plan on testing between it and an aluminum soon. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
