It was traditionally the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) that were regarded as the rainbow bridge in Nordic Europe, and the sight of the multi-coloured ribbons and flashes of light in the long northern winters would have resembled roads and bridges taken by gods and spiritual beings to Asgard.

I've been rewatching the entire MCU and I've always loved TDW and thought it received entirely too much bullshit. But DAMN rewatching this movie gave me a new found love for it, especially this scene. I had completely forgotten it existed and it BLEW my fucking mind. This is post New York. The Chitari have invaded, and the Avengers have beat them back. There were people in THIS MOVIE, who refused to leave the scene of the final battle, because "That's Thor, out there", and they just had to get it on their phones. Everybody knows who Thor is, by this point. And this cop's bright idea is to bow up to an Avenger, and a literal god, armed with...........a stick? You didn't think this through, did you, son?

@@erosion271 FACTS. When I first saw it in theaters, I was blown away by everything. Brian Tyler's music, the action sequences, Killain's war terrorism, Tony still dealing with his PTSD from "The Avengers", Tony's relationships with multiple people: Pepper, Rhodey, Maya Hansen, Harley, JARVIS and Happy, Tony declaring what ever happens, he will ALWAYS be Iron Man. I really didn't see a big deal with the fake Mandarin reveal, I thought it was pretty clever, actually. Plus Aldrich Killian is a better villian than people give him credit for. If you think about, he basically created the Flag Smashers before the Flag Smashers. Best Iron Man movie.
