Fun fact: Alan taylor revealed that this was supposed to be the mcu version of Korg, but they decided to reinvent the character in Thor:Ragnarok. If you put your volume high enough, you can actually hear them chanting Korg’s name.

There's something about 1080p 60 fps nd that just kills it for me. I can see all the cuts and the props and the timed choreography. I think there's something to be said for NOT being able to see every little detail. It really kills the immersion and reminds me I'm watching actors.

I like to imagine the Avengers had such an effect on Thor that he goes from being super stoic to a giant goofball because of their influence. Surrounded by Stark, Hawkeye, and everyone else had him change character completely and I think thats a better explanation to his character in Ragnarok than "the fans didn't like it, so we changed it."

I love how Hella killed all Thor’s superfriends within five seconds in Ragnorok.

That was an amazing scene. I feel like this movie is too overhated. The action, Loki, seriousness, jokes, and CGI is good, despite villain being trash. Also, this scene was nostalgia bc of some iconic moments.

When Thor throws Mjolnir in this scene, it looks like when Captain America throws it in Endgame. Never noticed that before.

This movie didn’t get much right, but it did manage to give us a Thor who can make jokes while still being in character, instead of just being a jokester. Taika Waititi should have made note of that.

For anyone not a nerd and not inclined to google things, Vanaheimr was the realm of the Vanir, a one-time rival group to the Aesir, and whose feud fuels a good deal of what we remember of Norse mythology. Eventually the Aesir and the Vanir sort of make peace and decide to kind of band together against other threats. Usually giants of one sort or another.
