Thoracic outlet syndrome is a group of disorders that occur when blood vessels or nerves in the space between your collarbone and your first rib (thoracic outlet) are compressed. This can cause pain in your shoulders and neck and numbness in your fingers.
Common causes of thoracic outlet syndrome include physical trauma from a car accident, repetitive injuries from job- or sports-related activities, certain anatomical defects (such as having an extra rib), and pregnancy. Sometimes doctors can't determine the cause of thoracic outlet syndrome.
Treatment for thoracic outlet syndrome usually involves soft tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, physical therapy and pain relief measures. Most people improve with these approaches. In some cases, however, your doctor may recommend surgery.

I'm so glad I found your video those first three trigger points that you mentioned are exactly where mine are and it shoots down through to underneath my shoulder blade which I've never felt a discomfort or a pain like that until probably last summer or before off and on. And I know a little bit about the body imbalances myofascial release PNF how certain junction points muscles and tendons imbalances can affect other places in the body etc. And after trying dead hangs qlo stretches lower mid upper trap stretches PEC minor major stretches serratus anterior stretches. Inner armpit and pressure points releases all up and down the tricep area in between the tricep and bicep area. Anyways I would get some relief but that discomfort little bit of tingling and numbness would always still be there. Especially in the areas that you just mentioned and the peck minor area and chest area along the collarbone. Anyways getting to my point and what I was going to say I'm so happy that I think I found the main culprit or problem causing this discomfort tingling numbness and pain which is these nerves and areas that you've mentioned. I'm so happy and you have more videos that you can recommend on releasing correcting and rehabilitating this? I'm going to look up a couple more videos tonight and search through your channel as well anyways.

Good friend, I have very strong crunches in the sternum, and chest and pectoral pain accompanied by tingling in the left shoulder blade, and both ulnar and medial hands, pain in the gullon canal, and my neck hurts when I pull up and down. They did electromyography on both hands and there is no evidence, I am 30 years old and I don't know what to do, I have been sick for almost 3 years, I hope your videos help me, I am a boy with a fibrous athletic body, I hope I don't have pain, thanks for your teaching, God bless you

Hi, thank you for so detailed information on this syndrome. 🙏🏽 Could it be that Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is developed because of Epilepsy seizures and frontal dislocations of shoulders? I have had about 17 seizures and in all of them shoulders dislocated. All the symptoms are pointing at this syndrome. Would there be something you could recommend for me, please?

Thanks for the video. I think I've developed this from being in a wheelchair the last month. What are the entrapment points around the front of the shoulder? Past the pec minor..?

Hello Christian … thank you for your feedback. Being or becoming wheelchair bound can certainly have an affect on trigger point development. For more information regarding trigger points of the shoulder (and more) please visit our website www.nielasher.com Wishing you good health!
