I bought my octopus in May pretty much when they first appeared on Ali. I am really impressed by it, really comfortable and it keeps excellent time as well.

Nice watches, i have always had a soft spot for Tudor. The blue Pelagos homage was gorgeous. The Thorn Blackbay homage was very nice too. I like the retro look.

Personally, I think this Octopus is the best watch I ever bought from AliExpress. I can't believe how nice it is. I had to double check that it was really titanium because the finish is so well done. But at 100g it has to be.

Just a word of warning on the Thorn. You need two screwdrivers to adjust the bracelet if you have to remove links. It does look nicer that way.

Hi Pete sure both nice watches mate have to say the Octopus is a cracking looking watch a very underrated make I'm looking at one of their Dive watches definitely up there with the san martin & co for quality a few other people have reviewed them & rated them cheers from the UK.

I immediately looked up the Thorn, since it has those Tudor hands. Benyar just put out a Tudor-style sub, but it's only $42. I had (wrongly) assumed the Thorn would be even cheaper, because I'd never heard of them. Nope! The Thorn costs three times as much, and it's smaller. Neither has a date window.

I reviewed a Benyar Tudor style diver a while ago. It was decent for the money, but with Benyar you are getting a chrome plated case, Chinese movement, and a clasp without micro adjusts.

The Octopus looks great, but anything from Ali over $100 causes me to break out in a sweat. I'd personally go for either the Benyar or the Pagani if it weren't for the fact they are both 42mm diameter & 14mm thick, way too big for my skinny wrists. Thumbs up to Tudor though, that's one good looking watch in the blue colourway.
