Thornley TMD Update - October 2017

It's been three months since the last update so apologies for that...where does time go?
In this update we'll show you the update to the south end of the layout, completing the scenery, along with industrial units added to the background and security fencing. We also take a look at the 1st build stage of Thornley TMD using laser cut wood and showing the highlight of the layout at the moment, the new footbridge spanning the across the yard to the warehouse access door.

Looking very good down that South end Steve ...you have put a lot of detail in and around the Shed s ..lover that walk over bridge ..all looking very realistic ...Dave

Depot is looking awesome, can really see the scale and size of it now. And still more to add on the back! The footbridge looks great, too. Definitely adds a little are of interest from the warehouses like that.

Yes definitely a great bargain too... I noted you mentioned you didn't rate the sound of Olivia's 58, why so? I have been thinking about getting one as Biffo hasnt got one on file and won't be getting one because there aren't any running 58s to record according to Charlie. Looking forward to your next update. Cheers Paul

Subscribed after first view. You've not tried to cram it all into a tiny space. Gentle curves and points, brilliant weathering, great trackage, good choice of era and locos and focus on railway assets with just enough scenery all make it my favourite layout. The new 58048 looks great - why not keep it "ex-works" until it's done some work? Looking forward to the next one and will check out the earlier eps!

Steve Smith thanks steve a long waited return to a hobby when i was young to help with my depression. I have found how much better the locos are thirty years on and a lot more expensive.

Love the 58 I'm so jealous of it and what a price too! Who is Richards railways ? I always want the Didcot Power Station one DCC fitted but the only likely place I can find one is from olivias which is too expensive when tempted or not painted right. The layout too is looking as brilliant as the previous Thornley who I believe was built by A layout making company before you built this ? Lastly thanks for the fbook message to me last month clarifying who owns the big Tinsley Tmd layout and not the guitarist Gilmour.

looking good Steve! Those porta cabins....knightwing or scenecraft? I have the knightwing kit sitting on my desk for my house building site. footbridge - brilliant.

Hi, can you access the interior of them to add detail? or are they like my resin caravans and are sealed? I got the knightwing kit so I can build an interior.
