With the Armadale/Thornlie Line Shutdown starting, the journey of the Thornlie Line will be changing greatly upon reopening, with the line extended to Cockburn Central, and there being no more level crossings along the entire route. In this video I went ahead and filmed the whole Thornlie Line from Thornlie to Perth, plus stopping at Perth Stadium on the final day of operations, allowing us to see the old stations and the tracks between them for the final time, acting as a historical record in the future as to what the line was like. This is also the last time a single-station spur line was operational in Perth, which was also on single-track, another thing never to be seen again. Finally, if they decide to make Beckenham the interchange station between the Armadale and Thornlie Lines after the shutdown, this will also be the last time that we see trains skipping Beckenham Station, but I'm not exactly sure what the consensus is on this decision.
