I don't know a Quranist that says "don't follow Mohammed". The Quranists I know say "the quran is the word of Allah, therefore, whatever it says is highest authority" From my understanding, Mohammed didn't write the hadeeths. But i am still learning

I only follow what is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner.” (46:9) Say, [O Muhammad], “I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.” Say, “Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?” (6:5 0). And when you, [O Muhammad], do not bring them a sign, they say, “Why have you not contrived it?” Say, “I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This [Qur’an] is enlightenment from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.” (7:203)

I choose Quran any day anytime, a gift from God directly to me. It is sufficient for me no matter how you said it is not.

In the Judgment day what if Allah ask you 'Is the Quran sufficient for you?' What would you answer???

I follow the Quran and the sunnah, but the thing I find hard is the prophet himself couldn’t verify the things that is now in the books of the Hadith. I follow them but that’s something that annoys me a bit. My wish is to really talk to the prophet and that he explained the Quran to me. May Allah bless all of us and lead us to the right path and heaven.

It doesn't say anywhere in the Quran to follow scriptures beside the quran, on the contrary it does say that we shouldn't follow any hadith beside the quran [45:6]. To follow and obey the messenger means to follow the quran since allah hasn't given us the message directly. Allah said in the quran we should use our intellect and not follow the scholars like sheep. That would make us no different than the Christians and jews who took their scholars and monks as lords beside Allah [9:31] (At-tawba). Allah said in the quran, that the quran is a detailed explanation of all things [12:111](Yusuf), so anything we need for our religion we can find in the quran.

Opening comment is strawman. Most quran-only and quranist folks do not say people shouldn't follow the prophet muhammad (pbuh). In fact I have never heard this. To follow the quran is to inherently follow the messenger. Frankly nothing should be "automatic", re: from quran to hadith. We are instructed to be thoughtful and deliberate. I'm disappointed he doesn't address the quranic verses that quranists cite to support their viewpoint. He just puts forth a couple he thinks supports his own. Those to me are too open and non-specific to support his claim. I myself am more a strong "quran-first" rather than "quran-only" muslim but between them and the conventional wahabist influenced clerics I see stronger support for the former. I love and appreciate mufti menk even when we differ. I believe he's good hearted and well intentioned. That love inspires honesty and forthrightness which encourages my comment here. This doesn’t really address the issue. Quranists accept that what the prophet pbuh instructs, however question the validity of authenticity in Hadith narration and the fact that it’s not infallible unlike the Quran.

Do you stand to object to A’LLah Al’Hakeem’s statement in 6:38 and 6:114 that nothing has been omitted from the Book and that everything in it is without a doubt explained in full detail? Brothers and Sisters, come back to the Quran. You will gain A’LLah’s forgiveness. The Book is meant for each one of Al’Rahman’s servants , so we can connect to Our Rabb. The Shahada in the Quran is only for A’LLah. No other name should be joined with His. Only A’LLah’s name should be glorified in Salah and in Masjids. They have steered us away from Sole Worship which belongs to A’LLah Alone. Salah, Wudu, prayer timings and prayers are all in the Book of Guidance. There are no complete compilation prayers in hadiths.

Allah says at 20 places in the Quran that all external hadiths are fabrications, yet they ignore what Allah says and keep following the hadiths. They are the Quran rejectors. The Quran is Allah's Hadith and Sunnah , it's written in the Quran and Allah wants mankind to follow His Hadith and Sunnah( the Quran ) to follow Him.

There’s an issue in the first sentence. He said that Quran-only people say only follow the Quran and don’t follow the Prophet’s sunnah. But he assumes that the truth of Hadith and Sunnah attributed to the Prophet’s sayings and actions, respectively. Moreover, there is a strawman being made here as well. He props up the strawman that Quran-only folks don’t believe in obeying the prophet, and knocks down this strawman. Quran-only folks do believe in obeying the prophet, but they are skeptical about the Hadith and Sunnah attributed to the prophet. There is a distinction between obeying the prophet and obeying what is attributed to him.

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was instructed to pass on the message that is the Qur'an and NOTHING but the holy Qur'an. It also says if the prophet prohibits something, it is as if Allah swt prohibited it. People take this line as a misconception. This helps us to understand that we should only follow the Qur'an. Other evidence is when in the Qur'an it says, any deviation from the Qur'an by the Prophet would result in severe punishment. The Qur'an also tells us many many times to not distinguish among the prophets for they are all equal. People nowadays put Prophet Muhamad above the rest of the messengers which is simply Idolatry. Research brothers and sisters and you will find that the Hadith and Sunnah, although they provide life lessons and what not, are merely he-said she-said. The only true instructions we need are within the holy Qur'an. Allah swt said the Qur'an is perfect, fully-detailed, and is the only thing you need for salvation. Stop calling the prophet's name during the Adhan, Stop putting the prophet's name on mosques right next to the name of Allah, and please understand that even the prophets will enter Jannah by Allah's mercy the same way that we will insha'Allah. If you want proof based on the holy Qur'an and nothing but the Qur'an please go to submission.org where you will see the mathematical miracle that actually shows us how to pray as the Qur'an intended and not how all the scholars change it today. Logic: Quran is the basis for everything and must be accepted. Hadiths that don’t contradict the Quran you can choose to accept. But if hadiths contradict the Quran then those are dismissed. Salam

Musa (pbuh) given 1 book "The Torah", Dawood (pbuh) 1 book "The Zabur", Isa (pbuh) 1 book "The Injil", Muhammad (pbuh) 1 book "The Quran". All the Prophets followed that which was given to them by Allah SA. Using traditional understandings where are the Hadiths of Musa, Dawood or Isa? Correct! The messenger of Allah only spoke and delivered what was revealed to him as Quran! That’s it! Its not that i dont believe in Allah, its a concern because Allah never told us to follow the Hadeeth. Its the same cycle as the Torah and Talmud.

yes i say follow Quran only... and following Quran doesn't mean you dont have to follow Prophet Muhammad (saw) ... the Quran was given to our Prophet... He (saw) taught the Quran to the people.. He never taught what Allah has not decreed to him... and hadiths are chain of narrations...one who wrote hadith he himself never saw Prophet Muhammad (saw)... Allah says in the Quran itself that the Quran is complete...

Also it's not easy for a common person to ascertain if the hadith is authentic or not.

This is how we assign each prophet an enemy, human devils and jinn, drawing inspiration from embellished and deceptive words. If your Lord had willed, they would not have done it. Leave them and what they make up. (Quran: 6: 112) Shall I seek another source of laws than God, when He is the One who sent this detailed Scripture down upon you? Those to whom We have given the scripture know that it came down from your Lord with the truth. So don't be among the skeptics. And the word of your Lord is fulfilled in all truth and righteousness. No one can change His words. He is the Audient, the Omniscient. (Quran: 6: 114-115) And so that the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will bow down to it, so that they may take pleasure in it, and acquire what they accomplish. (Quran: 6: 113) And the Messenger said, "Lord, my people really took this Quran for a neglected thing!" (Quran: 25:30) These are the verses of God which We recite to you in all truth. So what hadith, after God and his verses, will they believe? (Quran: 45: 6). (also: 7: 185, 77:50 and 31: 6)

Subhaanallah! You nailed it brother! When it is clearly told twice separately to follow Allah and to follow the messenger PBUH, there shouldn’t be any doubt. May Allah guide us! Aameen 🤲

And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. - 59:7 This verse is talking about war booty and its distribution not hadith or sunnah. This is what happens when people take verses out of context. Please open your eyes folks.

I'm not arguing with you guys anymore. No point. They call us "kafir" and "quranists" instead of acknowledging us as muslims. You can't argue with ignorance. When ALLAH says in multiple verses that the QURAN is clear/complete, and the best "Hadith" out there, then I will take what ALLAH told us and apply it to my life. One who follows the "sunnah" and hadith that clearly contradicts the QURAN, has no right to call us a "kafir." To you is your way, and to us is our way. May ALLAH guide us all. The QURAN is truly the most beautiful/clear/complete book out there and you can't dispute that. You also can't dispute that hadith is prone to mistakes because its MAN-MADE. Salaam Mufti Menk I have a great deal of respect for you, but don't you think that those verses in the Quran which speak about following Allah and the Messenger could mean that we follow the Message of Allah (i.e. the Quran)? So in other words we follow the Messenger by following the Message of Allah revealed to him. The issue with following the hadith is in many cases they are accepted as authentic despite contradicting the Quran, as an example there are hadith that claim that the Prophet and the companions had intimate relations with slave and captive woman outside of marriage (such as Maria al-Qibtiyya) meaning that concubinage is allowed by the hadith and this allowance of an unlimited number of concubines is supposedly by Ijma (consensus) of the scholars, whereas according to the Quran you have to marry these slave women before you have intimate relations with them. The prohibition of concubinage by the Quran is supported by numerous verses such as 24:32 وَأَنكِحُوا۟* ٱلْأَيَاٰمَىاٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّاٰلِحِينَ مِنْ *عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْ* إِن يَكُونُوا۟ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَٱللَّهُ وَاٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ* 24:33 * وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا* حَتَّىاٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَاٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىاٰكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَاٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَواٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَاٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Translation - [ *Marry off* the single among you and *those of your male and female slaves who are fit [for marriage].* If they are poor, God will provide for them from His bounty: God’s bounty is infinite and He is all knowing. 24:32 *Those who are unable to marry should keep chaste until God gives them enough out of His bounty.* If any of your slaves wish to pay for their freedom, make a contract with them accordingly, if you know they have good in them, and give them some of the wealth God has given you. Do not force your slave-girls into prostitution, when they themselves wish to remain honourable, in your quest for the short-term gains of this world, although, if they are forced, God will be forgiving and merciful to them. 24:33] 4:24 وَٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ* كِتَاٰبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَاٰلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُوا۟ بِأَمْوَاٰلِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَاٰفِحِينَ فَمَا ٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَاٰضَيْتُم بِهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْفَرِيضَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا* 4:25 وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَاٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَاٰتِكُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَاٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَاٰنِكُم بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَٱنكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَاٰتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَاٰفِحَاٰتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاٰتِ أَخْدَانٍ فَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاٰحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتِ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ذَاٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ ٱلْعَنَتَ مِنكُمْ وَأَن تَصْبِرُوا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Translation - [ [also forbidden to you in marriage are {based on previous verse 23}] women already married, other than your slaves.God has ordained all this for you. Other women are lawful to you, so long as you seek them in marriage, with gifts from your property, looking for wedlock rather than fornication. If you wish to enjoy women through marriage, give them their bride-gift- this is obligatory- though if you should choose mutually, after fulfilling this obligation, to do otherwise [with the bride-gift], you will not be blamed: God is all knowing and all wise. 4:24 If any of you does not have the means to marry a believing free woman, then marry a believing slave- God knows best [the depth of] your faith: you are [all] part of the same family- so marry them with their people’s consent and their proper bride-gifts. [Make them] married women, not adulteresses or lovers. If they commit adultery when they are married, their punishment will be half that of free women. This is for those of you who fear that you will sin; it is better for you to practise self-restraint. God is most forgiving and merciful, 4:25] 4:3 وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا۟ فِى ٱلْيَتَاٰمَىاٰ فَٱنكِحُوا۟ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثْنَىاٰ وَثُلَاٰثَ وَرُبَاٰعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ فَوَاٰحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ ذَاٰلِكَ أَدْنَىآٰ أَلَّا تَعُولُوا۟ Translation - [If you fear that you will not deal fairly with orphan girls, you may marry whichever [other] women seem good to you, two, three, or four. If you fear that you cannot be equitable [to them], then marry only one, or your slave(s): that is more likely to make you avoid bias.] So in summation, the Quran only allows free men and women to have intimate relations with slave women and men respectively within a state of marriage after the mutually agreed upon dowry has been paid, and in the case of men provided the conditions for polygamy are met they are allowed ONLY up to a maximum of 4 wives of either free or slave women. Now contrast the Quran with what many hadith claim and the Ijma of scholars on this matter and it is clear that the Quran is infinitely superior, where the hadith tradition claims that a conquered people can be enslaved and that newly enslaved woman can be bought and sold and that the owner of this female slave can have intercourse against her will. The Muslim umma has gone against the Quran on the prohibition of concubinage as early has 70 years after the death of the Prophet, and definitely by the time the Abbasids(130AH) came to power the allowance of concubinage was well established. This is just one of many issues which the "authentic" hadith tradition presents, which is fortunately absent from the Quran. I would much appreciate it if you could provide your thoughts on the matter. Salaam.

Please help me sir. I'm new to this. So I have one problem I guess. It sounds to me that many people almost worship mohamed the messanger. The messanger was human with human desires. Allah never chooses perfect people but he was just the messanger list like Isa except just the last one but why do a lot of people glorify mohamed? He was just the pensil writing... Just confused.

Well People, in fact, men „prove“ that there are authentic hadith. I highly respect you and learn a lot of you but I kindly disagree with you here. The Quran says at very many points that the quran is complete and god has not forgotten a single thing. Maybe you can listen to sunnah in a „spiritual“ way if it helps, but as soon as you get judged by not for example praying like the mainstream Muslims than it is getting dangerous in the peace within the Muslim community.

He knows much better than we what motivates the human, cause and effect, action reaction. Question for Hadith followers. Give me the Hadith that explains the prayer fully. Or all the Hadith that are put together for the full prayers. Oh wait you can’t…. Cause they contradict each other and it’s almost impossible to find it online. The prayers were established from a bunch of Hadith with the opinions of the scholars years ago…. Hadith followers love laughing at Quran onlys for not having the full prayer (assuming salah is a ritual prayer) They can’t even find where the Hadith explains the prayer…. and even if it fully does it’s contradictory. Like wudhu for example. There are 3 hadiths that contradict eachother about it. Look at these 3 bukhari Hadith all of them are volume 1 book 4. 159, 160, 196. 159 says prophet washed the body parts once 160 says prophet washed the body parts twice 196 says face 3 times, forearms and elbows twice, wet hands lightly over head from front to rear to front again, then washed his feet an unspecified number of times. Admit it, the only reason you pray the way you do is because you follow blindly.

with ALL due respect to the Messenger , by your logic we should Follow our Mailman who brings a letter from authority. Allah says "Follow the MESSENGER" not "The Prophet" Allah refers to BOTH consistently thorough out the Quran. The Hadith has been placed equal with the Quran, is NOT sealed, is Not protected, is Not revealed by the divine. it is Correct that following the Quran Will be following the path of the prophets-yes. So why push books written by men and hijacked by jesuits? Follow the Message. It IS sealed, locked, and protected.

The Holy Quran is fully detailed, easy to under to understand , it is clear. The Holy Quran is easy memorize. What other books are going to put your faith on other than The Holy Quran. It is the truth. It is for the righteous.

I'm afraid you are misleading people by quoting the Qur'an out of context. The verse you are referring to 59:7 is about distribution of spoils of war and people are instructed to accept the apportionment of the Prophet. This is nothing to do with hadith stories concocted centuries afterwards. You will NOT be able to quote a single verse that tells us to follow hadith. The command to follow the Prophet is to follow what was revealed to him ie the Qur'an. Nowhere does the Qur'an give authority to the Prophet to make his own rules. You must be fully aware of the contradictory nature of hadith literature and how it's divided the muslim people into sects, so it's insincere to talk about "authentic hadith" as if they were all agreed upon. Please refrain from condemning people to hell-fire because they followed the Qur'an- the only revealed word of God. Worry about justifying yourself on the Day of Judgement, how you came to follow the hadith literature without authority from God or his Messenger.

Ridiculous.. Very first verse he brought like saying whatever messenger brought bla bla.. Out context doing people... Shame on those who follow hadith and in the end they definitely reject QURAN..

The Prophet Muhammad was the first 'Quranist' brothers and sisters, for he followed Qur'an and only Quran, nothing else! This is what Allah revealed to him. Think about it very carefully and logically and you'll see it makes sense. So these people who say they are guided who follow hadiths are not following or obeying the messenger but some others.

God revealed the Quran and it is perfect and complete; God has perfected all things. [Quran 6:19] Say, "Whose testimony is the greatest?" Say, "God's. [Quran 7:52] We have given them a scripture that is fully detailed, with knowledge, guidance, and mercy for the people who believe. [Quran 10:37] This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than God. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from the Lord of the universe. [Quran 12:111] In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe. The Quran proclaims that the Quran is complete, perfect, and fully detailed. Verses 6:114-115 explain to us what "fully detailed" means. The Quran is fully detailed for religious law and "complete in truth and justice." [Quran 6:114] Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt. [Quran 6:115] The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient. Hadiths contradicts with Quran because Quran is perfect. Allah says Quran is all we need. Quran it self is the sunnah and hadith.

I AM SORRY it is not referred to the hadith and the word is atakom not ja2akom . and the hadith was first gathered 200 years after the death of the Prophet pbuh how did u assume and think that is exactly what the prophet said or wanted us to do Semple logic yet can't answer it. the only Devine Book is the Quran and if it was not from allah they wouldve found a lot of contradiction like the hadiths .
