The original was one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful pieces of animation I've ever seen. This one is just as gorgeous, but (thankfully) not as gut-wrenching, which is much-appreciated in 2021...

fun fact: this animation was used by Rede Globo, a brazilian TV station, in 2013 to be the opening of a soap opera called "Amor à Vida". They used a different (but still beautiful) song for this, "Maravida" by Daniel ;)

I loved the first one so much that when I saw this, I got excited. Like yelling and jumping internally, while trying to control myself physically. The first one was beautiful and this one was just gorgeous!

It is exceedingly rare to capture a lightning bolt in a pencil, A Thought Of You was one such rare occasion. One that we, if I may speak for so many of us, are so truly grateful for. Capturing a second one, well, it's not impossible but is so close to that it might as well be. This is a beautiful piece, and if it were standing on it's own, damn I hate to say this, on it's own it would be a masterpiece but having been moved so greatly by the first I can't help but think of it as an afterthought. Sorry, I feel bad for saying it, and I'm having second thoughts as whether or not to leave the comment. Well there, now it's gone and gotten me as emotional as the first one did, just not as warm on the inside.

I ended up here after remembering the opening clip of the brazilian telenovela Amor à Vida, and wondering who made the animation cause there were no credits anywhere, so I researched it a bit and ended up finding this version on your channel. I just wanted to say that I adore the work you did, and I cannot tell you how many times I asked my parents "wait, don't change the channel yet! It's time for the cool opening part!" and then 10 year old me sat in front of the TV everyday absolutely mesmerized by the drawings moving and dancing and holding each other, I thought it was the coolest and most gorgeous thing ever (still is tbh) so I just wanted to say!! thank you for doing such a cool awesome work!!!
