Girl Preach!! I could not agree more. Everyone should have to work in the service industry for at least 6 months! And you are 100% on it with the having less **** to give as you hit 40! LOL. I turned 40 this year and it really has been kind of a shift in what I stress about and what I don't. Thanks for sharing! And Happy Birthday! Hope it was wonderful!

Happy birthday! I SO enjoyed meeting you at the Texas Homeschool Expo and you rocked your sessions! If you’re ever in Oklahoma, just give me a shout! 😊 Love your perspectives on your journey to 40. Everything rings true, but for me, the biggest difference at this age is the relationships. Whether family or friends, a lot of relationships have gone onto different seasons. It takes some wisdom to know when to move on and stop making a square peg fit in a round hole. And it’s ok. People can move in different directions and still be kind. -Mendy

Hi Mendy from Oklahoma!! It was so good to meet you. You truly helped calm my nerves when speaking. It helped to see a familiar face!! That is so true! It can be so hard to find people and keep them through various seasons. I'm not at all the same person I was in my early 20s when I met my partner. It can be hard to watch friendships fizzle, even as an adult. This is an amazing point!

Happy Birthday!! I will say what I tell my students in terms what helped shape my outlook in life. I tell them you can't control what happens in life, just how you react to the things that happen. That the fastest way to be miserable in life is to be a victim and feel entitled to things, if you want to be happy than be grateful for what you have and be willing to work hard if you want more. I also tell then that everyone has something they struggle with in life, yes there are some folks who have an easier life, but that does not mean they can have great success in life as well. That we all have the ability to create our own success in life. I use the Jewish people as an example. .2% of the population and 20% of noble prize winners. All while being persecuted throughout history. It is not because Jewish people are smarter, or better, it is b/c of the values they have, values that anyone can copy. There is my two cents, or may two dollars with all the ramblings. lol Have a wonderful day! And thank you for this channel. I am sure you help many families!
