Bought a 2024 Pro4x last month. Fully loaded: pro convenience package, pro premium package, off-road protection package, technology package, illuminated kick-plates, even got the decal on the hood (not that I was looking for that) -- I think the only things not included was the bed access package and USB charging kit. With $2K in dealer add-ins it was priced at $52K. After 2 hours back-and-forth I bought it for $44K -- and at 2.9%! Really liking this pick-up. Comfortable ride and great gas mileage.

So am I. I owned (2) Hard Body 4x4 back in the days. A 1988 and a 1995. It was the same back then with being “under the radar.” Not as popular or hyped up like Toyota. I loved both of those trucks. Put over 200k miles on each with very little hiccups. I liked the physical appearance of them moreso than Toyota. Nissan was always more affordable on price too. I own a 10 year old Tundra now. That small Nissan 4x4 is what I would buy if I was in the market for a small truck. I’m not a bells and whistles guy, so I’d get fewer “gadgets”. 4x4 in a King Cab with Bilstein shocks and non turbo V6. Everything is expensive now, but the Nissan brings back fond memories for me. I’m thinking about that small Nissan as a daily driver now. I’ll keep my Tundra in the garage though. I don’t want to sell it. Too many regrets selling clean trucks over the years.

It's a good looking truck, especially in that Boulder Grey color. What's crazy is that the Frontier is now outselling the Tacoma as a result of the poorly executed redesign. Absurdly high pricing, solely made in Mexico, turbo 4-cylinder as the only engine option, several add-on packages in order to get anything good, and tighter back seat. Lots of no-nos and as a result, the Nissan is looking better and better. Pricing is in check, still offers a V-6 as the standard engine, made in the U.S., decently equipped even without convenience packages, and roomier back seat.

5.9% apr on purchase is not a good rate. Some dealers offer 0.9%. When you say $4000 off the price of the truck, what is that price you referred to? MSRP or with Add On. When I viewed the video, I did not see forward avoidance sensors. Are they not available of the upper trim you purchased? After your first couple of weeks, are you satisfied with its power steering? I am thinking of the Frontier and also the Tacoma. I am undecided.

Some other brands might offer lower APR but on 5 year loan Nissans best is 5.9. if you want short term loan 3 years they have better rate but payment is to high per month for me. $4000 off retail MSRP of $43,750. The actual discount was almost $8000 off the dealer add on sticker that price included the Advantage program, and a few other silly things. Power steering is fine I drive sports cars and like it tighter than normal.

@@jasonin2details Excellent reply. I use Edmunds app where different dealers list their vehicles with APR and money factors for leases. In Phoenix and in Austin areas the current APR is 0.9%. I don't think its a CVT in the truck. Not 100% sure but I think its more traditional 9 speed auto
@AyaWetts20 күн бұрын
its a 9 speed Automatic with a pretty good track record. Nissan has had issues with CVT and front wheel drive Autos in cars... but Frontier is pretty rock solid
@aymanlockhartable20 күн бұрын
@@AyaWetts Does the Nissan frontier has a CVT?
@AyaWetts20 күн бұрын
@@aymanlockhartable no... its a 9 speed Automatic transmission. A CVT is something completely different that has no gears. The CVT Nissan used that had problems was a belt system like used in scooters almost. Those are just not great in cars. I know people call them all "Automatic" but thats people misusing the word to try to simplify it. No one should buy any vehicle with a CVT, you are asking for problems. Now Hybrids with a eCVT is something different still... a CVT and eCVT are not remotely the same, just to keep it more confusing.

Not sure how Nissan quality is holding up these days. It's a really nice looking Tacoma copy cat and if price is alot less they might become the next best seller.
@spyder000069Ай бұрын
General consensus is its one of the most reliable drivetrains with the naturally aspirate v6 and the trans is 9 speed that has been reliable as well. Most of the frame and build specs come from the bigger brother titan. Its a dated old school design underneath but that is also what makes it reliable.
@devildog5354Ай бұрын
I don't see copy cat. This Frontier design came out 'before' the 24 Tacoma design (laughing)...

5.9% is not good, especially for people with great credit. In Indiana you can get a Pro4X for $40k..odd a two wheel would be that much
@jasonin2detailsАй бұрын
In the current market 5.9 is not that bad. I always end up paying off way sooner so it really does not matter.
@davidwethington9320Ай бұрын
@@jasonin2details interest rates are between 8-10% so 5.9 is pretty good right now.

Frontier is a really nice truck unfortunately I would never buy a Nissan since they screwed me with a Sentra cvt. I know the frontier has a proper transmission but they will not get my money again.

I dont see the point of owning a midsize or full size truck with a short bed.

Unless, all one needs is a short box, for smaller tools, material and general debris.

Better than the new Tacoma. It’s a sweet truck, I just wish Nissan would build a 6 ft bed option
@AyaWetts20 күн бұрын
yeah the small beds suck. They have 6 foot bed option on the King Cab, and on the lower trim Crew Cab, but the higher models are 5 foot only.

Dude. Why would you buy from these scammers? All that extra crap they hit you for is insane, especially the window tint. I would walk from any dealer that tried to pull that crap on me.
@jasonin2detailsАй бұрын
I did drive away with $4000 off MSRP. In todays market thats a good deal. Retail at $44,000 and out the door $40,000. The Out the door number is all that matters in todays market. I did not pay 40,000 plus all the extra crap like tint, Advantage program to make it $back to $44
