This is a godsend for kids. There's a really well know diy spot in my city that was made almost entirely by teens. Fresh obstacles are absolutely amazing, but again it's teens. They don't know how to make things last. After a month or two they're just thrashed crumbling concrete. There's a technique to grading and finishing that can make a slab last years

I am an OK transition skater and have a strong ollie, and I'm fine with ollieing pyramids, but somehow the curved top edge of these things has fucked me up several times on takeoff, and I separate from my board and eat shit.
