Chris from Rekkid Talk is jumping on this thread started by Ed ‪@onmyturntable7036‬ about showing records from 5 to 10 female artists, including at least one that you have seen live. I also saw this on ‪@EmbryonicRobot‬ . I focused on records released or reissued in 2024 and I have some artists you know and a lot you probably don't in this video.

Chris, thanks for participating! Some great stuff here: Blake Babies & Juliana Hatfield takes me back to my 80's college dj days, and St. Vincent I've seen with David Byrne in concert a few times. A nice mix of obscure, familiar, and new. That Kelsey Walden and Anni Williams will be checking out. Have a great weekend! 😎🎶

Thanks, I do show JH too much but I basically showed all the 2024 pickups so far by female artists.

Hi Chris! I remember the name Blake Babies but not the music. Vanessa Peters sounds like something I'd like. I like the cover art on "Visitor." Lots of new stuff for me in this video Chris.

Chris - This video makes me feel out-of-touch, because I haven't heard any of these albums, though I do really like St Vincent. I'll have to pick up her latest. Monkey's Eyebrow! I think I need to take a trip. Cool records!

I've been playing 45s every day and here's a sample of what I'll be playing today. All 1964 and obscure girls. Mary Hurt And The Lambs The Fondettes The Youngblood Sisters Bonnie And The Butterflies Helen Ferguson Betty Jean Heidi Hall The Quinto Sisters The Sisters Patty Lace And The Petticoats The Petites Ann D'Andre The Whippets Darlene Terri There was some better known girls but I skipped over them. Fun thread!

I lilke some 70s Heart, that's about it. Joan Jett is cool, and I have a couple of Fleetwood Mac rekkids and a Stevie Nicks solo album. I tend to like the Stevie songs more than the Christie McVie songs. I'm not a Swiftie.

@@RekkidTalk I don't have any of the bottom 3 but I hear everybody saying oh Jennifer Lopez is this , Beyonce is that Taylor Swift is this. so I thought I would ask. but I don't have any of the bottom 3. I would say the guy who runs the grammy's doesn't know alot about music saying Jennifer Lopez this , Beyonce that. I would rather have 8x10's of them. I do like Janet Jackson got a greatest hits, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain , Janis Joplin is great , Fleetwood Mack , Heart is also great.
