The Baghdad Battery is believed to be about 2000 years old (from the Parthian period, roughly 250 BCE to CE 250). The jar was found in Khujut Rabu just outside Baghdad and is composed of a clay jar with a stopper made of asphalt. Sticking through the asphalt is an iron rod surrounded by a copper cylinder. When filled with vinegar - orany other electrolytic solution - This method was modified using an electronic solution, which is rechargeable and gives a higher voltage than its predecessor

No. The Baghdad battery is actually a box for safely storing scrolls. Only our imagination made it a battery. But it's nice to believe in flashlights and enrich history with legends and fairy tales.

@@DL-kc8fc no it is called baghdat battery and there is no advance science behind it. Electricity had been known long before that but had limitted use

THAT battery could at most only put out 0 volts and you can't charge it. It is a chemical reaction battery just like a modern-day alkaline battery. But there is a bigger problem at 1:57, both electrodes are copper, one has to be a different metal that doesn't electrolyze to get negative. What he has done is create two separate half cells that can't react with each other, which they have to, to create electricity. If you don't believe me tear apart an alkaline battery. What you will see is a metal tube that you tore apart which is negative, with a carbon rod in the center which is positive, and an electrolytic paste in between. It's just another one of those scam videos to get views and gets a thumbs down !!!

You are absolutely right, and the Bagdad battery made only 0.4-0.5V, no way any two metals in the Universe can produce a potential of 12V, especially if they are the same metal. Also when it was connected to the charger in the video, the Ammeter showed 0A!

Making a battery without knwoing how to make a battery!!! The voltage at best could be 1.8V for a single cell and quite a good amperage but not enough to drive a power machine even with an inverter!!! The Baghdad battery can greatly be improved by using anodized copper and iron but still will require a lot of cells to be connected in series and parallel to meet the power requirements of a drill. A Supercapattery design could be quite convincing!!!

@@NetHelp2 True but it can't give out the energy as displayed. It is a very reliable battery and can be greatly improved with different eelctrochemistries and modified eletrodes. If you really like batteries like you do, I invite you to visit Dr. Robert Murray Smith KZfaq Channel for Energy Storage Materials. He has some great simplified tutorial and if you want more serious stuff, you just have to send him a message. What's free about it? The materials cost money and will eventually be used up. The battery must be recharged once it is depleted just like a standard rechargeable battery.

I imagine you are using the priciple of electrolytes and electrodes to create potential difference to produce a small voltage then amplified it to how many volt?

Неважно, коробка это или больше, так как гелевые аккумуляторы - это одна коробка, а концентрированная кислота - причина подачи 12 вольт.

Kde čislo udava počet člankov v baterií.....Lithium batteries are already in cars, e-bikes, scooters...with a voltage of: 8.4 V 12.6 V 16.8 V 21 V 25.2 V 29.4 V ......... ..etc. that is why these batteries are given balancers marked 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S, 6S....... Where the number indicates the number of cells in the battery.....

It is a great idea, but the metals are corroded by reactions. If it is capable of lasting for more than a year charging and discharging itself, it could revolutionize the world. Otherwise, it is the same as what happens with current lithium batteries that last approximately 400 cycles and in the long run it is a wear and tear of raw material and contamination.

استاذي العزيز المهندس الرائع . اوريد ان اخبرك بخطئي عندما عملت بنفس بطاريتك بعد شهر من التجارب اتضح لي ظروري يكون الفحم او الكربون او الجرافيت ظروري ان يعطي قراءة بالاوم بالافيميتر ع وضعية 200اوم وقد جربتها ع قطبين من النحاس وكذالك الالمنييوم والزنك وكانت النتائج مبهرة الان بامكاني عمل بطارية 12 فولت او 24 فولت قوية مع امبير عالي بنفس طريقتك . ليعود الفضل لك . وشكرا لك يامبدع . محبتي لك من اليمن .

Ain't those transformers mostly 12 and 24 volts. So you say you get 12 volt or something out of this cell. A normal cell only makes 1.2 or 1.5 volts or something like that. This is why batteries in cars have multiple cells in one batterie and they put them in series. Same with normal batteries, if you want to have a higher voltage they put more cells inside the batteries in series. Not sure, but it seems a bit fake.

Показатели где? Напряжение? Сила тока? Падение напряжения при коротком замыкании? Падение напряжения при полном замыкании? Время самовостановки. Сила тока спустя месяц,при потребителе? ( например, лампочки накаливания.) Где ваши показатели? С таким успехом можно снять любое видео и сказать что работает. Ne prenez pas cette vidéos au sérieux, il n'est pas possible d'obtenir un différentiel de 12v avec seulement 2 électrodes. Le différentiel de potentiel ne doit être qu'entre 1.4 et 1.7V avec les produits utiliser. En aucun cas l'onduleur ne pourrait fonctionner. Une batterie doit être cacher dans le tuyaux.
