Wow, another killer lesson. As a member for over three years, I HIGHLY recommend David's Fingerstyle Five membership. As a world-class player and teacher he has an answer for any issue you might have trying to learn this style. At first, it feels awkward getting your fingers and thumb to work independently and together but he has lots of tips to make them do so using slow, easy to understand techniques. As you can see and hear, he's got GROOVE for days. Do you like and want to learn walking bass lines over moving chords? He teaches that also. Started working on it this morning. I don't think you're playing it right because mine sounds a lot different. 😎 Maybe because I'm at 40 bpm

I play 12 fret guitars. Palm muting is a little different with the bridge being set back two frets. Hard to get over the sound hole. For me anyway.
