This was not from one of the shorts you saw, but this is a side-splitter: Shemp: “I have uncle who can makes things disappear.” Moe: “Is he a magician?” Shemp: “No, he’s a kleptomaniac!” 🤣

When me and my brothers talk about the Three Stooges this plumbing episode is always first it’s a Classic thanks for bringing back the fun childhood memories 😊

Everyone's favorite as a kid was Curly but, Larry was the back bone of the stooges. He was the best at what he brought to the table.

I’m so glad your doing these! Most people of your generation (I’m an Xer) would find these offensive when they’re really funny as all hell. We grew up on these. They had a resurgence in the 70s with reruns (of all shows) coming into existence. About to watch the next one lol. You have a great laugh and it’s awesome “watching” them with someone who can really enjoy it. New sub just on content alone, but great reaction. Keep them coming. On a side note, as a kid I’d always be bummed when Curley wasn’t in the episodes, but lately Shemp has really grown on me lol

I got my oldest daughter's to watch the Stooges at a very young age. They are teenagers and they still love em!

Love the vid. I too grew up watching not only the Three Stooges but old school Merry Melodies and Disney cartoon (shorts). The Three Stooges are masters of slapstick and physical farce comedy. It’s not just the slapstick and physical farce people love but also their on-screen chemistry. The whole dysfunctional comedic trio formula can be seen even to this day with the guys from The Grand Tour (James Mayes, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond). I respect the hell out of the three stooges act. They were showmen of the first order. Spending years in vaudeville and other venues massaging and tweaking their act till we got what we see here. The best comedic group in history.

I love the Three Stooges. Have been watching them all my life and still laugh at them. I like seeing Los Angeles back in the day, the way women dressed then and the home furnishings. My fav is Moe too, very witty and loved all the play on words. Moe has great facial expressions too. Shemp is really funny too. Could you imagine the five Horowitz boys in that family all together at one time? After my younger sister died in 2017, I started recording Three Stooges episodes so I could watch them when I got into bed and not dwell on my grief. Larry, Curly, Moe and Shemp helped through really tough times there. It's hard to cry when you are laughing. Enjoyed watching them with you.

one of my favorites is where they are pretending to be professors at a women's college teaching the alphabet by song. "swinging the alphabet" I think it was called.

When I was a kid in the 70s, my uncle had a lot of Three Stooges shorts on the old film reels. Whenever we'd visit my grandparents, we'd go across the road in the evenings to his house. My u cle would set up the screen and projector, which were always in place because he was a movie buff, and we'd watch one or two shorts most nights. I also saw the original King Kong, Dracula, and some others on the old film reels, too.

When our elem aged kids retreat into 'comfort food TV', these are played. I'm never unhappy to have introduced them, and I am happy that even their friends know the nyuk nyuks and argue over Shemp vs. Curly (not really an argument - but they do raise the debate, as if to keep it alive).

I think the beer-barrel scene at the end is cool because it gives one the flavor of what films were like in the teens and early twenties. Many watching this in the theaters were seeing very familiar real street sets! Early in CA film history, small film companies didn't have large budgets so they didn't have big studios. Some worked out of houses! So the streets were their sets! They literally went out on the town every day to film. Fatty Arbuckle, Keystone Cops, Buster Keaton and many others early on filmed out in the streets every day. Buy the 20s, large sets and larger studios were more common... Some of the early Fatty Arbuckle, Keaton and Harold Lloyd (Just not a Chaplin fan, strange, I know) was the funniest stuff you'll ever see in your life!

The balloon gag is so good! You can still find that hill and intersection where the beer barrels roll down…..it’s in a neighborhood just west of Dodgers Stadium. The drug store on the corner is a coffee house where hipsters hang out now.

One I laughed the hardest on was when Curly is rocking in a rocking chair, and the rocking chair lands on the cat's tail and the cat's screech scared Curly and he swallowed the cigar.

Most women hate the Stooges. I read a study saying most women don't like physical comedy. So nice to see someone who breaks the mold.

Thanks for posting this. Ive loved them for almost 60 years. One thing of special note that sometimes gets forgotten are the sounds that were created for The Stooges shorts were pioneering for films.

Congratulations on reaching 100, and thanks for reviving the Stooges - they were too funny and talented but fell into relative obscurity like so many early acts. I grew up on these guys and they always made me laugh like a mandman.

I've always wanted to profile the "supporting actors" behind the Stooges in their films. In your opening sequence, the policeman is Bud Jamison, who shows up in several of their shorts. The Bad Guys and Judges are often characters that littered films and TV shows for decades to come, too.

I find it heartwarming to see young people appreciate their humor 55 or 60 years after I did. Proves a certain timelessness… The Stooges were burlesque and silly and lacking in any “nuance”, but that is the magic of that humor; still making people laugh 90 years after their first solo short in 1933.

I got to meet Moe once. To this day, curly makes me laugh the most. On this video, what made me laugh the loudest was when you snort-laughed the one time. :)

One of my favorite things about the Stooges shorts is you never knew where the guys would turn up next, in some fancy mansion, down and out on the street, in the army, running a tailor shop, building airplanes - lol there was no end to where you would find them--lolol

My neighbor is 80, I'm 63. In the summer we just sit on the front stoops here in queens, nyc and laugh about the stooges episodes until we can't breathe.
