My Granddad sang this to me as a kid, and he still does and I'm 14. It was stuck in my head and I decided to look it up! The Three Stooges were awesome!!

Love this. This was one of my favorite episodes as a kid. Back then when we wanted to see a show again, we had to get real lucky. No tapes, the Stooges were only on Saturday mornings here in Chicago, '70's.

This warms my heart anytime I hear it. This is from the one called "Violent is the word for Curly". They are the ones that started a life long love of big band music,violin also piano music for me. So if you want your babys to love music,expose them to music with the good old stuff,as well as your family favorites. Most important; light up with happiness when they come in to a room. I'm not a musical person,but have agreat appreciation for all kinds.

I taught it to a little blind and also mentally challenged little girl I work with. She was about 5 or 6 years old when we sang it together. She is still attends my school and is now 18 yrs. old and she still sings it with me! Love The Three Stooges!

This is one of my favorite all-time scenes from Stooges' shorts. Funny seeing a colorized version but still a great 2 minutes of fun. This wouldn't be possible with Shemp or Joe as the third stooge. Thanks for posting this.

This episode is actually Season 5 Episode 6-Violent is the Word for Curly The stooges work as gas station service men who end up running away from three professors on an ice cream truck. After thawing Curly out from sitting in the back of the ice cream truck the boys put on the professors clothes from their stolen luggage. The stooges are mistaken to be the professors by the college who is expecting them and they poorly pose as the professors and sing their famous "Alphabet Song". The real professors show up, but the ladies in the "girls-only" college end up getting their athletic program thanks to the stooges.

This is a great colorized rendition of the song that The 3 Stooges are most famous for and from The Film of which is entitled "Violent is the word for Curly"and there was even an MTV Documentary of this in which the audio announcer had said "Music Videos have come a long way since The Three Stooges."This song was even remade for a record album version as told on Dr.Demento with Larry Moe and Curley-Joe and though Dr.D.said Joe that's even what Curly-Joe was also called for short besides Curly.

I love the three stooges. If there is an afterlife, which I truly believe there is, I would love to run into all of them in it. They kind of feel like family to me.

This just proves the comic genius of the Three Stooges. They didn't have to use sex, profanity, and other vulgar stuff to be 'funny'. Of course this was the 30's & 40's but their skits still hold up today! Stooges=4 Life!

Im 24yrs old. I like all types of comedy from the stuff out now to these genius half-wits. As young as I am, I will always pick Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp over anybody out now becuz not only is the eypoking, head booping and slaps funny but its the other ways Moe assults Larry, Curly and Shemp and also the logic these guys come up with and the little things they come up with, the names of people and places they come with. I respect these guys and others like my other favs Abbott and Costello.

Some may thing this is stupid but the Three Stooges is a classic! My friend memorized the WHOLE song. It is pretty easy. All you have to do is memorize the first letter then you are ready to go!

@masterjon3 West Wing Studios used a computerized colorizing process where they were given actual props used in the original filming along with information about the sets and analysis of the gray-scale in the film to try to reproduce what the actual color would have been. It's not at all 100% accurate, but it's pretty good. Definitely a step above the old hand-dyed colorizations.
