I'm a trained potter, I hope these hints are helpful. Clay doesn't stick to porous surfaces, rolling out on some fabric, that can also make some nice texture, grease proof paper or wood may help. If you let the clay harden just a little, called the leather hard stage, it will cut and stamp cleaner and still be able to be curved to the crock surface. You can decorate the under side which is usually far smoother than the side you're looking at. If you wet your finger you can smooth out clay without damaging it's shape at this stage and the clay will be easier to handle. Cheers Gail

My oh my! Every one of those turned out great! When you added the embellishments it took them to another level from the clay stamps and how waxed the cookie jar and the way you painted the animals and the tissue paper on the books Had to chuckle when you first showed the jar at the beginning I thought man I hope she puts a bee on that one and you did. Again great job.

Love your creations- your style! The little “spatulas” are actually pallet knives for painting. They do have multiple functions, but are a joy to paint with!

Yes.. it just takes the right person to buy it. I change out our booths and rotate things around a lot to try to catch the eye of that one person 😉

While going thru those crates that have been packed away for 15 years, I found a cute pig almost like yours. The board with the ceramic tile is a favorite. Lots of hand painting but everything turned out beautiful. Even the "problem child."

I’m such an idiot! At *18:29, l’m looking at that Cookie Jar and reading, “Cookies and Milk for Dummies” instead of what it actually said, “Cookies and Milk are Yummy”! I was thinking... I snort laughed when you said, "If you could hear the swear word when that little 'o' fell...." My kids like to tell people that I make up some very creative swear words when I'm crafting. I then tell them that I have to make up words when they're awake so they don't hear that actual words I say in my head or when they are asleep. Lol

I love watching your videos. I’m so happy for you that you are able to do this full time. It’s not a job when you’re doing something you love to do. I too am in love with the old crocks. My late step mother gifted me a huge crock. I just moved from Florida to Texas and the movers broke the crock beyond my being able to glue it. I actually sat on the floor and cried when I opened the box and unwrapped the pieces of crock. Now the hunt is on but I doubt I’ll find one of its size that I can possibly afford. The crocks you make are quite lovely. You are doing such a great job at aging them. I look forward to crafting with you as soon as my craft room is set up. Thank you for all the lessons.

I GOT IT! MY stamps don't always stick either. I tried a plain old glue stick and worked great. Kept my stamps on my block but easy to take off after. 😀 Hope it works for you too! Thanks for all your inspiration also.

I love that Duck brand clear shelf tape. I use it as transfer tape with my Cricut. Such a large roll for a great price.

I am trying to do catch-up. Finally feel at least 80% myself again. I am taking a class Thursday at 1:00 on using Iron Orchid molds with clay that can be used on Furniture and everything else. I am excited to feel good enough. Loved how everything turned out. Good Job.

First timer here. Oh..my..gosh I love it all. I really like the farm animals. I am in the process of changing my kitchen from southwestern (I live in Arizona) to farm house. These are all so cute.
