This week I am upcyling small thrifted items to keep at home or resell in my booth. I recently uploaded a goodwill haul video and used 5 of those items in this week's DIY video to upcycle to my style to sell in my booth! I use DIY paint in the colors Apothecary, Farm Fresh, and White Swan along with Clear Liquid Patina as a top coat. I used the IOD Stamp: La Campagne. Not wanting to sound like an echo chamber, but... that metal plate... WOW! I also loved the white distressed wall unit. I especially liked Henry's technique in the before shot, and your voice over/editing...classic! Had to show my husband what I was chuckling at. He seemed more confused (or annoyed?) at what seems to amuse me... Seriously, Heather...thank you for not editing out your trials & errors, and candid Henry shots. It helps encourage to keep creating until the right look is achieved. In a world of filters, scripted & staged false realities... OMG, on that plate, I thought you were going to pull one of my numbers and head for the trash can, Heather! It turned out gorgeous! Love it! The display shelf turned out so good and I really like the fairy cup--oh! Just everything, everything was beautiful! The crown will be wonderful for flowers, or in the fall, nuts. Congratulations to your husband. I lost my little darling doggie 1 month ago, so I love seeing Henry in your video. Miss my little darling so much. Thanks for sharing- was so much fun. Thank you so much for being here and I’m so sorry you lost your baby 🐶!!! They are hard to loose but totally worth it to love them! My last dog was a German shepherd and he lived until he was 15…still tear up when I see a dog that reminds me of him. But can smile about the memories now too! Hugs!

You don't really NEED the carrier sheet when stamping but it does require different attention. Your plate turned out awesome tho. Serendipitous! Congrats to your husband on being recognized for his hard work! Enjoy your trip!

Have to say I really liked the looks of the one you painted over. It had a soft imperfect feel to it. The last painting of course was beautiful and crisp. Anyway you look at it I think you nailed them both on the head.

It is a lot of fun! It’s a way to be colorful like the transfers but you can do it unlimited cuz it’s a stamp!

I absolutely love the hand painted metal plate. You need to make sure you put a higher price on it. 35 or more and it will sell! The crown looks so much better! You need to run put it in your booth for tomorrow! Yes I’ll be watching some of the coronation. Mainly because I want to see what happens with Harry and William. Yea for the hubby! He deserves it and so do you. Have a whole time.

Heather, your funny, I'm sure it was just by accident that you did not get invited to the coronation! On the other hand, I feel your pain. I had four embossed platters I was just working on. Did two in Apothocary, wet distressed & clear waxed. Came out pretty, then I tried Farm Fresh (which was one of my new favorites). Oh my gosh, I may have wet distressed it un evenly, given it an uneven coat! So then I give it clear wax, then black wax, then white wax. Finally I walked away and went to bed. I was much better the next morning!!
