My grandmother said for antique mirrors, only spray the cleaner on the cloth. Ethel said they are not made the same as the newer ones. That is due to the backing can allow moisture to get in between the backing and cause black spots. Ethel was smart about a lot of things, better safe than sorry with that BEAUTY. Love it

My aunt who had a cleaning company always told me never spray cleaner on mirrors or pictures, ALWAYS on the cloth first. Cant destroy that beautiful mirror! Its beautiful!

That mirror is glorious! I think that the gates of Heaven opened and the angels sang! I am a sucker for pretty old mirrors too! I have a few hoarded to hang when my boys move out and I decorate their rooms in a girly fashion. Yours looks perfect in it's new home! The new chandelier is also beautiful. Ugh! You’re killing me with this gorgeous stuff you’re finding! The mirror is amazing, I’ve never seen a biscuit mirror, but it’s stunning! The shades serve to focus light especially downward toward the table. So if in dining at night you realize it's a bit dark, the shades will give more light to your diners. Truly God provided that you arrive at the right time to grab these. Also - that sideboard is stunning and has been waiting for its pillow mirror companion.

I'm the portion of the video that showed you discussing how to protect the crown of the mirror, the owner actually pulled on the crown and it shifted. I am so glad she did not ruin it then and there. What an epic treasure. For $175..."Sold!".

I think it's preferable to spray the glass cleaner on your towel than directly on the mirror.

Hello Selena, it's Deb! Love your new mirror and chandelier. That patchwork jacket is fabulous! It's getting cool enough to wear that quilted coat I made for you. They are very popular online I see many handmade ones. I know you thought it was a robe...lol, but it's actually a long jacket, called a Turkish coat. Did you ever watch PollyAnna when you were little? It was my oldest daughter's favorite movie....mine too! PollyAnna took those crystals and strung them in the windows of the grumpy old lady, who was always "sick" in bed. They made rainbows all over her room. PollyAnna's favorite past time was to play "the glad game"! She always saw the good in everything.

Ah, Selena, when it comes to shopping, we both know it is easier (& more successful, wink, wink) to ask for forgiveness than for permission. I, too share your passion for cleaning pretty things, but my thing is polishing silver. Love to watch the tarnish disappear & the silver come up all cool & smooth & gleaming. The mirror is glorious and the chandelier is a knockout. I have a couple of crystals in that fancy shape (love how you say "fayancy") & I paid I think like $8 each for them. Both pieces are treasures.

Selena that is absolutely stunning! Both pieces were meant for you and for your house! Growing up my mother would have her music going while cleaning her house , Now my own grown children tell me that when they were growing up every weekend when they would hear my music going they new the intense house cleaning would start! Something I still do to this day, I too find it therapeutic. You can wear that patch work jacket with that burgundy thermal shirt you just got.

Lol my mom has to hide things in her truck from my dad until she gets rid of one piece of furniture. Pete has the same enthusiasm as my dad when my mom comes home with big chunky mirrors😂 It is gorgeous though.
