Definately Alphonse Mucha, he designed the Art Nouveau entrances to the Paris Metro. Also famous for his theatre posters, many that were of the actress Sarah Bernhardt.

I've re-purposed a lovely depression glass punch bowl as a water bowl for for my greyhound. Because she's a big dog she drinks a lot and the bowl's big so I don't have to refill it multiple times a day. I feed my cats from depression glass candy dishes - so much prettier than plastic pet bowls. I also love it when I can pick up onyx ashtrays because they make the perfect base to display anything with a rounded bottom, I collect large seashells so I've used them all over the place.

The scarf with the birds is actually a Japanese furoshiki. It is a wrapping cloth traditionally used for transporting clothes, gifts or other goods. xo

Love your style and your love of beautiful old things. We are kindred spirits in that! I love to rescue all of the beautiful things ppl don’t seem to appreciate anymore. I use old vanities everywhere which I don’t see a lot and I don’t get because they look beautiful everywhere and can serve a purpose everywhere. They display things beautifully especially with candles glowing or lamps. I love old ornate frames on the wall alone or with ornate plates or some smaller pic inside or to repurpose to hang necklaces. I use beautiful old jewelry for pops of sparkle and color. I love old birdcages for floral or other displays. Ok I’ll shut up now lol.

I scored one of those round tufted pillows in prestine condition recently at my Goodwill. It's like the one you have behind you on the sofa. Just love those kind of pillows.

I wanted to buy this really cool printer stand. When I found out it was 98$! I used my 1930s picnic basket. Lol the printer sits on top and my paper ,ink and cords are in the basket. Looks beautiful.

Hi Selena- Love that pink sequin skirt. My mom used to call those "beat you skirts". I did'nt know what she meant so I needed an explanation. It was a joke with her and girlfriends where the girl with a flouncy skirt could run across the street faster than the girl who had a skirt like yours, long and narrow. They would run past the girl with the skinny skirt and say "I bet I can ''beat you" to the other side of the street", thus the "beat you skirt". I thought it was so funny!

The scarf with the ladies...looks a lot like Alfons Maria Mucha known internationally as Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period. Many of his designs and illustrations were imitated and copied in the 1970s (see Job Rolling Papers logo, etc.)

I have a milk glass oblong dish beside my kitchen sink that I put my nylon scrubber and brush in. I’ve always loved milk glass and just recently started using my pieces rather than having them packed up. I love the cherub reservoir vase and to think it cost only FIVE bucks!!! Selena knows where to go to find the bargains!!!

It was owned by or manufacture by " A J TOTTLE " .....I worked really hard to bring it back to life I took help from a carpenter to make the 2 legs n the mirror stand ...I made a golden mirror frame n did all polishing n burnished n collected brass knobs for the drawers. I love the “thrill of the hunt”, when I lived in Canada, thrift shops back then where very rare. I found a couple and went to “hunt” as much as I could. Hi Selena So enjoyed this tonight.tucked in my warm,cozy bed while is storming here in Alberta,Canada! I have 2 old brass napkin holders. I got them both at an estate sale for 5.oo years ago. I have heavy broadloom drapes in my liv.room and needed tie backs for them. The little thin metal brackets you buy in stores would not properly hold them so I got brass screws and attached a napkin holders to each wall at edge of window,with the taller part at same side as the gathered drape. Everyone always asked where I found the great antique " brackets" and are so suprized when I tell them they are napkin holders!! That old hand mirror is indeed beautiful.and those brass cobra candle holders are the bomb!!
