When I use these tips, it helps me shop mindfully and ensure that I am in love with every item in my closet. I am going through a total transformation in my personal and creative styles and I have been using your videos about Kibbe body typing and dark aesthetics as guides. I haven't started my thrifting adventures just yet. I feel like your list is exactly what I have been loosely following in my newest endeavors. I did a big purge from my closet and realized that there are so many items that I just have to put on an "anti list." I have been slowly curating looks that I'd like to try on and looks that I need. My goodwill doesnt sell anything for under $8 anymore. I saw a shirt that had a tag from a previous store for $6.50 and they were selling this shirt, that they got for free, for $8.99. Honestly, over these past few years, goodwill has become extremely pricey for what they have and i cant support that business model of only caring about their corporate "good will". I dont even live in a city or an area where it would make sense to sell clothes for that price. I do love my local thrifts tho, because they dont sell clothes that i could buy cheaper if i bought brand new lol

A studs/spikes black flats can be a cute option for your corp/formal outfit (just my opinion). I am not into goth style but I like it. 😅

I love this video! Like I’ve said before, they’re so helpful to me. Also, once again, I’m working on kibbe and I’m back in the soft natural camp. The way you say things fit you personally resonate with me and tie things up and cinching my waist is always how I get around looking shapeless because my hips/butt/thighs are the biggest part of me and my upper body remains pretty small considering I’m much larger than I was pre-pandemic because I had a baby in 2020 and life/mental health stuff. I really appreciate your explanations for the clothing you chose and your thoughtful approach to fashion is a much needed breath of fresh air. I don’t know if you watch this person but Angels Benedict (a goth KZfaqr) has really thoughtful fashion related videos sometimes too and shows people how to get the look on a budget and how to choose good pieces in terms of construction from fast fashion shops if that’s all their budget allows. I thrift because I have been doing so since I was 16 and am now 60 and i enjoy it and I want to help the planet by reusing and reducing and keeping things out of landfills as much as I can! also I dislike fast fashion and am very careful about what I purchase even at thrift stores!

im comforted by the fact that you are a soft natural who has a very specifc style (also...are you filipino?) I feel like i have been searching to figure out how to look good in the style i always envisioned but it never seems to work on me since childhood. When I see other people who identify s soft natural everyone's style looks...the same? I easily look frumpy in things i like things and seem to only look good in work clothes? 😅 when you are setting aside time to go thrifting how much time do you set aside usually?

if it's not book mold it can also be bedbug poop stains which may mean that there could still be eggs in the book, better safe than sorry I always say!
