Reid having the time of his life playing a multiplayer casual format is the most wholesome thing.

I haven't seen Reid this casual since he played Soul Sisters during Eldrazi Winter.

On this episode of Magic: The Gathering: Blue players keep mana open, Jund deck comes back from boardwipes, Mardu deck misses land drops, and more!

This basically boils down to: Josh and Jimmy: Let’s somehow survive two pro level players. Reid: survives multiple board wipes and consistently returns his commander to the battlefield. Melissa: I hope they like the toys I made for them.

That animation on shimmer dragon being baked into a pie was surprisingly inovative and funny

I would love to see Reid play Commander with his own brew.

Based on his voice alone, I suspect this "Reid Duke" is actually Keanu Reeves playing a deepfaked Reid Duke.

I really enjoyed how they edited korvold to say frog cursed king when he was frogified, that made my day

It was a joy to see Reid on the show. The fact that he was genuinely excited to be knighted was awesome!

I love that Melissa specifically tried to give Josh a chance for a turnabout even though he was finishing her off. Instead of holding a grudge, she tried to make the game as interesting as possible.

Game knights inspired drinking game: take a shot every time someone says "this is really scary" in this video

This is the awesome thing about the precons. The evenness in power level makes the games a wonderful back-and-forth. Awesome job designing them, Melissa.

I noticed that the last time Melissa was on game knights, she used the term “amass my zombie army”, possibly hinting on the upcoming set, (War of the Spark)🤷‍♂️

I really like the episodes with Melissa! She is such an amazing player and she seems like a cool person to hang out with :D Even though i really do not like brawl... But that is ok since it "looks" like commander and i do not have to play it and buy rotating format decks.

This was the better play thru of these decks Ive seen. I loved seeing how each one has its own killer combos and techniques. And seeing the decks played thru makes me want them more.

This is the single most entertaining game of commander I have witnessed. These decks are so intricately designed and, man, watching pros play is really something else.

Reid Duke is one of my faves!! I'm sad he didnt win. He spent the whole game rebuilding consistently and incredibly well but alas... flyers...

The animations and production value on this episode were amazing! Big kudos to whoever thought of cake effect on the dragon!

Thanks everyone for making this such an enjoyable presentation! It's great seeing you all having fun while showcasing the subtle nuances of combat mechanics and giving us insight into your strategies.

Having people like Reid and Melissa play Brawl precons is like giving Michael Schumacher a go-kart to drive.

"I'm the aggro deck." -Josh playing the Mardu Knights deck. LUL, nah, that's Alela. Proven by the Brawl event on MTG Arena. The knights deck ended up being more mid-range. Though Alela hilariously overpowered the other decks in a 1v1, it'll struggle to effect the game as much as it did in a 4 player game. Nice to see how these decks function in an environment they were designed for.

I couldn’t think of two other legendary players but for Melissa DeTora and Reid Duke to represent the Magic community so well. They are intelligent, creative, and have the best sportsmanship. Such a fun episode- and thank you Melissa for designing such wicked decks!

The editing and animations just keep getting better. That "korvold, frog cursed king" at 1:07:44 is just precious.

I see a lot of negative comments on this video and there are a couple of things I would like to address. First of, just a small reminder that their first "tie-in to the most recent set" legends game was episode 4 of GameKnight. And the Archennemy Bolas was episode 7. So the good old days lots of people are talking about aren't really a thing I feel. And if you mean still legends from recent sets but homebrewed on top of it, last one was two episodes ago. So it's pretty safe to say those are going to come back and continue. I understand the frustration because GK don't come out that often due to the pretty big production quality (I noticed a lot of improvement on feedback of effects and animation in this episode so it's something they are improving to this day). But at the same time I was making the observation that this show is really accessible to newcomers. GK was actually what got me into EDH in the first place and that was thanks to the editing and way they explain each move. And recently my little sister got her first precon edh deck and I was happy to have a gameknight episode that would showcase it so that she would learn how the deck works. That's why I really don't mind those types of videos because it shows that they will put the same amount of effort into a video for veteran edh players than in one for new players for which these brawl precons might be the first edh like experience they'll get before building a more refined edh deck. For me GameKnight also means accessible. And I have trouble getting into some other edh shows on youtube because I'm relatively new to the game (a bit more than a year) and don't know all the cards. And if I want someone to get a feel of what edh is I will point them to this channel because I know it is accessible. And for that, I'm glad they make videos on format that are less overwhelming to newcomers like Brawl is. It can be a gate opened to edh, but it's easier to pick up for someone who just started out thanks to the limited cardpool. So yeah "The sponsorship is ruining gameknight" I guess. But I know that if a friend, who never played magic, is interested in getting into it, I might tell them to start with a brawl precon, watch this video and then show them how they can upgrade the deck for edh. And that's important in my eyes too. So I'm thankful to the team. Because having their likable personality be a showcase for these makes it a pleasure even for me who enjoys more complicated homebrewed edh decks. And it gives me a good way to get friends or family into the game more easily. That's why I still loved this episode ^^

This channel has inspired me to start playing magic again and collecting the cards. Shows that ANYONE can play, including girls. I live in England, in a city where girls don’t really play card/board games so I always thought it was shameful and embarrassing to collect cards. But this channel helped me realise that it’s okay to be different when it comes to hobbies and gaming! Amazing channel, love watching you guys. Also, because you explain everything you’re doing, it makes the idea of playing a lot less intimidating and scary 👌🏻🤙🏻🐺

Every time I watch any video with Reid, I am just struck by how extraordinary humble this man who might be the greatest player on the planet. He just seems so happy to be here and I love that kind of positivity in my magic content.

I just got into MTG last week! I even did a video on why people should be getting magic in 2020. I can't wait to be a part of the community and play some commander games.

I love you guys playing with the precons that we can get our hands on. It gives me new ways to look at the decks and different ideas for value engines in a deck that I thought only had one engine. Seeing all these strengths and weaknesses allows me to augment these decks without, you know, actually having to do the work.

This episode was really good, like really good. So much back and forth!

This is a weird thing to say, but the scream that Reid does at the end is so satisfying lol

You guys should do a game where you upgrade the precons from this or M19, or a game where everyone has $100 to buils their deck, and go crazy, because A) the brawl precons are generally terrible, and B) A lot of Josh Staples are really high price, like Vedalken Orrery, hovering around $20, and Rhystic Study, around $15-20. It might help players, such as myself, who have a really tight budget.

I had the same experience with Knights brawl deck as Josh did, it's just terrible, so very A+B and regretfully super cluncky because of it - I constantly found myself creature-screwd and usless equipment-flooded! The Fairy deck was just the opposite, such an elegant and smooth-running engine, a true joy to pilot!

I love the visuals on that video! Really entertaining! Also the interviews/explanations are great for beginners, but still not boring for advanced players

To be devils advocate, i REALLY enjoy that you guys play unedited precons on game knights. The chances are if the commander is good we will see it later in upgraded form, and also this is a way to show off the contents and uses/playpatterns of the decks. Its not very often we get commander precon decks so having a place to see them in action is very appreciated

Always kill Josh. That's my advice. He always finds a way out of sticky situations somehow. Love it!
