Throwback Thursday: LEGO® brick Pirate Ship

Yearrr! On this week's Throwback we're taking to the high seas with our huge LEGO Pirate Ship! Based on the real HMS Victory ship, Ryan created this model back in 2014 and has cut it in half so you can see all the crazy pirate action below decks!

True most pirates use sloops instead of 4th ship of the line because sloop is kinda fast

The Chinese pirate queen had English and Dutch ships of the line so did another pirate but I can't remember his name but on average yes pirates did not use them

Cool, and good job, however I don’t think Pirate ships were that big, Only British and Spanish navy ships, it’s way too big for a pirate ship, good job however

Probably true, but we weren't going for super-accuracy on this model- we wanted to build a huge ship and pirate are just way more fun than regular navy or trading ships!

That ship was never a pirate ship because that is the HMS victory

We weren't trying to be historically accurate with this model- we just wanted to build a massive sailing ship. Pirates are way more fun, so we made it a pirate ship- maybe they somehow stole it from a sleeping Naval base? ;-)

I think the ship is kool but I don't like it why would you make it round like or oval like instead of just a normal sided ship I understand you wanted to be different but it just doesn't look right
