About Who's The Boss?:
Being a parent is tough; being a single parent is even tougher. So when injuries and his wife's death force ex-baseball player Tony Micelli (Tony Danza) into retirement, and a single mom, high powered advertising executive Angela Bower (Judith Light), needed someone to run her household, it was a match made in heaven. Or was it? After convincing her free spirited, mischievous mother, Mona Robinson (Katherine Helmond), that hiring Tony is the right thing to do, the less-than-tidy Angela welcomes him and his daughter Samantha (Alyssa Milano) as the live-in housekeeper for her and her son Jonathan (Danny Pintauro). And while their relationship starts out businesslike and platonic, becoming best friends and confidants makes it hard for two attractive, single adults living under one roof to resist their more grown-up impulses.

Well Judith light had previously roles on some daytime soap operas ( I think " one life to live"), Tony danza, starred on the sitcom "taxi" and Katherine Helmond also starred in some other sitcoms ( unfortunately can't remember which ones) and I think Alyssa Milano did some commercials and had some small roles for various shows and Danny pintauro did some small roles for various shows and some commercials ( that's how child stars get started)

That's the point of the show. Now they just pretend that we were always put down, weren't allowed to do anything, women just stayed at home and cried all day because they weren't allowed to work. Tony danza played the role of single father/windower tony micelli really well in the sitcom "who's the boss?" he showed that it is not easy to raise a daughter on your own. you have to be both mom and dad to her. you have to be loving, understanding, and strict sometimes. tony was sometimes overprotective of samantha and that drove samantha crazy, that that was only because he cared about her so much.

beautiful. one of my favorite sitcoms. a widower, and single father leaves new york city and moves to a better place takes a job as a housekeeper working for a divorcee and single mother who has one son in order to make a better life for his daughter. it goes to show, that things like this can happen in real life, and that life really can be unpredictable sometimes, and we need to be strong and be prepared for anything that life throws at us.
