I remember in India when I was growing up people usually used acid diluted with water to clean the bathrooms. Usually since this bathrooms were not tiled and had cement floor it would be okay but then tile came into the society and it was all the rage people started using acid on tile too which caused the coating on the tile to lose its sheen. This video reminded me of that observation in my life

@@SXSPRIME It depends on the concentration. A high concentration can cause disfiguring skinburns, blindness and even death. An emergency shower and eye wash station should be at hand when handling concentrated HCl. In this case, I'm guessing it could be bleach, which is something else. Still dangerous, but doesn't burn through your skin as quickly, giving you more time to wash it off before you get permanently injured.

This person is acid washing a swimming pool. They pour muriatic acid on the surface to remove stains and metal deposits. If you add dawn dish soap to the acid, it won't fume. When done, we rinse it with water.

Yeah, we used it all the time in concrete. After a new pour has cured and hardened, we do the same thing over the fresh slab to remove "fat" off of the surface of the deck. If you try to tile, paint or coat the deck without acid washing it first, anything you put down will pop off, flake or blister.
