One coaching and safety point for new users is: BEFORE pulling drawing your Bow, ensure that your thumb is in front of the trigger.

I really liked the idea of a thumb release but after six months of working with my Stan release I’m still getting tighter and more consistent groups with an index. I feel more anchored (less shake) with the index. The thumb release definitely was less punchy but not nearly as still. Also I use a clarifier and it seems like the peep was too close and gives me double vision of the target…….I’m afraid it’s headed to eBay if I can’t improve. Is it just not for me?

What is the benefit of a thumb release?

It's a personal preference thing, but many people find it's easier to avoid punching the trigger with a thumb release vs. an index finger release.

One thing you did not address, which I thought this video would certainly explain from the beginning. How do you do the actual anchoring? May seem obvious to intermediate and experts but I thought this was a beginners guide. Guess not. This is more like pro tips for experience shooters already.
