Pity there are only 8 fighters. I'd love to see this game expanded to have a roster the size of Super Punch Out.

It's surprising that we got two Punch Out inspired games coming right now. Both Thunder Ray and the upcoming Big Boy Boxing look awesome !

Short is not bad thing. This game looks like the perfect amount of everything without dragging it out.

I love seeing all these indie games coming out that are dripping with personality. Some of the animations in this feel on the level of Cuphead in how much character they have.

Some years ago there was a small indie game called Beast Boxing Turbo that also had various monsters as opponents. Check it out if you want more of this concept.

I love the way some of the opponents look like dbz OCs. They have vibrant anime designs.

I have such a soft spot for the "Punch-Out" style. They're basically like fast-paced puzzle games, forcing your brain to be as fast as your fingers as KC said in the video. And man these visuals are a treat, shame that the music seems to be lackluster. And while the game have some sort of speedrunning integration is thoughtful, one thing that I so want to see in more games is what Shovel Knight does, where they will plaster the current WR of the game and the runner's name at the top of credits as it rolls upon game completion. That's just such a beautiful combo of a sign of respect and the perfect incentive to get to the top, so all can see. But yeah I'll bring this game up with a friend of mine and see what he thinks of it, thanks for the video!

Paying a movie ticket of money for an afternoon of Punch Out seems like a decent deal to me.

There are some moves you will see far more often than in lower difficulties when you pump it up, after beating rookie several times I jumped up and saw quite a few new animations. Maybe I just beat rookie well enough to stop these moves, but I do feel each difficulty offers its own strategies.

Another fun Punch Out like is called "Fight Knight", well not so much like punch out but similar. Also soundtrack slaps, the game is on steam.

The artwork looks really nice, but the incredible shortness and lack of opponent numbers sounds like a big turnoff to me.

A little short on the inside with only 8 fighters, but still a nice take on punch out, i would love to see them take on the real deal like this, if they did it, the style and charisma would shot through the roof.

I feel like your comment about "adding" strategy kinda misses the point that the Punch Out games were all about strategy in the first place.

It's a budget game but it comes with a budget price so it's hard to complain too much. It would be nice to see a bit more packed in, but it I'm honest I'd rather see it go into polishing up the fights with some extra sfx, tweaked balance, etc... than more content as what is there is fine, just a bit uneven in places.
