Lady Penelope and Parker take a tour of Tracy Island with Jeff Tracy as part of their induction into the International Rescue organisation. Overlooking the swimming pool, the trio watch the launch of Scott Tracy in Thunderbird 1.
'Thunderbirds: The Anniversary Episodes' was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's iconic Supermarionation television series - and made use of all the original puppeteering and practical effects techniques to bring the show back to life, with the help of authentic 1960s voice recordings.
Now available on ITV X and Britbox in the UK and on DVD and Blu-Ray in Japan.

Thank you for the trip down memory lane . I was a child in the 60s and Thunderbirds was my favourite TV series. In fact I still think it is one of the best TV series ever. Shame there were only 32 original episodes and two feature films. Should have had at least another 2 seasons.

Poor parker lugging that valve radio all the way up there for a one sentence transmission, I would have dumped it over the cliff.

These are marvelous, the amount of care and love that went into recreating the sets and so on is wonderful. They absolutely are new episodes of Thunderbirds - you can't tell the difference between these and the "original" as it were. Of course it helps enormously that they use the dialogue from the old audio adventures created in the 60's (and release don records), so you have all the original voice actors and so on. But visually and in terms of style they are absolute perfection; they are enough to bring a tear to any fan of Thunderbirds of Gerry Anderson shows in general. Perfect, just perfect. If anyone is wondering, you could get these on both DVD and Bluray, but only as a reward for contributing over certain thresholds to the crowdfunder (whch, as I recall, got about three times it;s target and very quickly).

"The pool is sliding to one side !" Well spotted Lady Penelope . Another example of upper class inbreeding 😃 As a five year old i was immediately puzzled by Thunderbird 1's unseen 90° rotation and since seeing Made In Supermarionation i can't unsee that lemon squeezer on the wall of the launch bay . Still one of the greatest kids programmes ever made , though - utterly magic 🤗

The lemon squeezer was obviously the extractor fan, to remove all the fumes from the TB1 Rocket launch area... Simples !
